FULL APPEARANCE: Kuni is short. And about as intimidating as a gnat. Her body is curvy, and appears soft. Most of it is soft, really. Except for a few key pieces. Her thighs are strong from crouching. Her arms, shoulders and chest well muscled from working at the forge. In fact, Kuni is rather embarrassed by the amount of defined muscle on her arms and back, and almost always wears long sleeves to cover them - unless she is working. Her hands are also rough with callouses.
Kuni wears her hair long, mostly braided to one side or down her back for safety reasons. She never could stand to cut it. Despite its rather mousy brown color, Kuni is a bit vain about her hair and often decorates it with bits of ribbon and other things. Her eyes area muddied sort of blue, and her face still a bit childish in appearance.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Kuni is very dedicated. She is not a very good multitasker because she tends to dedicate 110% of her attention to whatever she is doing at that moment (which can be kind of creepy if she is focusing all that attention on you). She is quiet and studious. Very goal oriented and tuned in to the details. She is very likely to notice that you've changed your hair, and to comment on it - good or bad.
She is friendly and prone to giggling. Amused? Giggle. Nervous? Giggle. Surprised? Giggle... You get the idea. Her personality might have been bubbly if she didn't suppress it. Or wasn't naturally prone to overthinking. While she takes pride in her profession, she has been ridiculed for it, and often has her abilities questioned. But she is a good smith, especially at mending, or small, delicate work, like jewelry. She lacks the physical strength to work with some bigger projects, and they tend to not interest her as much. It makes her a little shy.

HISTORY: Kuni is the daughter of a smith who grew fascinated with her father's work at a young age. Barely able to walk, and Kuni was attempting to make off with his smaller hammers. The tongs were especially interesting, and many things were pinched by them when she was a small child.
Her mother was willing to indulge this interest, and her father was flattered. So Kuni pursued smith craft. After her lessons with the harper she would scamper to the forge and apprentice under her father. She was very good at fixing the small fiddly bits in the agenothree tanks.
She and her brother were close playmates as children. Often exploring where they should not, Kuni holding the glow basket high as she followed Ato somewhere dark. They especially liked following the wher trails in the mountains, but never got far, having too many duties to attend to. And their parents did not like them wandering far since the times were not exactly peaceful, despite it being an interval.
Luckily Fort was well guarded. They had little to upset their daily lives.
The most unsettling thing to come near the family was the attacks on their Lord Holder. Fort grew quieter and the isolation set in. No roaming was to be had after that. It was too suspicious. But they had even less time now than they had as children. Kuni was preparing to walk the tables as a journeywoman in a turn or two.
Outside of Fort the world seemed frightening. High Reaches Weyr sending dragons against Fort. The largest gold wher Kuni had ever heard of attacking the Hold. And if she thought that was terrifying, it was nothing compared to that winter, when their Lord Holder was murdered, whers and handlers revolting against him. Kuni heard then that he'd been withholding tithes.
The disturbance set her nerves on edge enough to cause her to fail her first try and journeymanship. Her second, the following turn, went much better.
Kuni has mostly been keeping her head down. Listening to the rumors that surround the Weyrs and their doings. Wondering with eyes wide just what it is that dragon folk get up to. She keeps to her smithing, and leaves dragons and Thread to their knowledge. Sometimes she can't help but wonder if they actually know what they are doing, or if it's all useless posturing by frightened people.
