FULL APPEARANCE: Enma is a very small person. Standing at a tiny 5’3”, it’s very easy for most people to tower above him, especially his much taller weyrmate. He’s not delicate, far from it, but his height makes him very noticeably smaller than many of his peers. For all that he’s not tall, his body is strong, with a fair amount of muscle to it from time spent working with both his wher and the various animals he worked with before then. His brown skin is not unblemished, although he does take care of it. He has many a scar, and although most aren’t bad, there are a few noticeable ones on his face.

Enma is temperamental at the best of times. He wants things his way, and he doesn’t want to hear a thing about how others think things would be better if they were done differently. He’s stubborn as a mule, and almost never changes his mind for anything, being very set in his ways. Other people are hardly his favourite thing in the world, and 9 times out of 10, he cares more about animals and dragonkin than human beings.
While he knows better than to do it around children, he swears a fair amount and has a pretty crude sense of humour. He laughs easily at crude humour, and is even more easily entertained by people being mildly inconvenienced. Enma isn’t one to verbally show his affection. Instead, lazy bickering and physical displays of affection are his go-to. He prefers to show his love, rather than say it. Words can be lies, after all, but his actions are always the truth.
He gets angry easily as well, but calms down quickly enough where his weyrmate is involved. A single hug from the man is usually enough to keep him from ripping into whoever aggravated him this time.

HISTORY: Enma was born to a pair of crafters in a minor hold, both journeymen in their respective crafts. He was raised comfortably enough, and didn’t want for much, but craved acknowledgment from his parents. They wanted to pass their crafts onto him, and treated him as they would an apprentice, but to him, they weren’t really good parents.
By the time he was 11 turns old, he was very unhappy with his parents and his life. He had most things, but no friends, and parents who seemed more like bosses than actual parents. Nothing came of his anger for a few turns, but by the time he was 15, he’d decided he was done listening to his parents and their views on what he needed to learn. A huge blowout argument ensued, and that was the beginning of the end of their relationship as family. He renounced his parents that night, choosing to apprentice with the beastcrafters of their small hold instead. He loved animals, and found himself to be much happier working with the herdbeasts than he ever had as a so-called apprentice to his parents.
At 17 turns of age, he decided he’d had enough of being in the same hold altogether, and signed up for wher candidacy at the nearest Weyr, which ended up being Igen. Chosen for an egg that hatched a bulky garnet at his very first wher clutch, he was thrown into wherlinghood, where he met his best friend and future life partner.
Enmask was his garnet’s name, and she didn’t understand his love of animals, but the pair were well matched for the most part. Their more gruff personalities and tendencies to be rude clashed at times, but understanding most of each other’s mentality went a long way in forming a strong bond with each other. Meanwhile, it took Enma and Enmask a little longer to the boy who slowly became Enma’s friend. He was a sarcastic little shit, never seeming to shy from stating his opinion or being harsh. He bickered with Enma constantly, but the bickering felt more friendly than actual arguments.
By the time they both graduated, they were joined at the hip. Not everyone understood their relationship, but they were friends, and close ones at that. They were never far from each other at that point, though neither had yet realized their feelings went beyond platonic.
They joined the same squad, and seemed to work best when they were put near each other in formations or duties. Often, this would be because of attempted showing off and competing, trying to see who could do everything better than the other. Enma tended to be better at the physical exercises, despite his upbringing by two tailorcrafters who weren’t very physically gifted, while his friend was better at anything that required more brainpower to accomplish, such as tricky manoeuvres and basic chores. It wasn’t until Enma was 21 turns old that he realized his feelings for his friend, though he was adamant about not saying anything. Enmask called him a fool for this many times, but his mind had been made up and nothing would change his mind except himself.
It took a fair bit of pining and a fair few ridiculous situations for Enma to get himself together. It wasn’t until after spending the night of one of Enmask’s runs together and overthinking the whole thing that the man actually said anything in regards to his feelings. To his surprise (and nobody else’s), his friend had been waiting for Enma to make a move for turns. They didn’t really talk much out, hardly being the types to share their feelings, but from that point on they considered themselves to be together.
It was a little bumpy at first, clashing opinions and butting heads making for plenty of arguments. Eventually, though, both men managed to relax enough to actually have a talk (sort of), and convey their feelings properly. Not much changed after they got together, though. They still argued all the time, and constantly tried to one-up each other. They still couldn’t convey their love through words, but little gestures and displays of affection became more commonplace. Eventually, they agreed to move in with each other and became weyrmates, sharing their quarters and becoming more intimate than they had been with each other in the past. Altogether, it took a lot of work. But finally, at 25 turns of age, Enma shares loving relationship with his weyrmate, and a strong partnership with Enmask.
Recently, they have decided to transfer to Fort together.
