FULL APPEARANCE: Zagi is a somewhat tall, lanky guy. He is tends to lean down a bit so he appears a bit shorter than he normally is. He is quite agile and acrobatic, with his body somewhat toned as a result. He has messy red hair he often keeps pinned up, but when it's down, it will often cover his left eye. His eyes are brown and when he smiles, he tends to have his mouth opened as a result. He often wears dark clothes and multiple layers of clothing.

PERSONALITY:
Zagi is a bit of a spitfire. He can be hotheaded and rush into things, along with being extremely passionate. He tends to form grudges very quickly, especially if someone of his class does better than him and is determined to become better than them, even challenging them to competitions to try and one up them. He becomes obsessed with overcoming them to the point that is what he will mainly focus on and will ignore other stuff.
Due to his passion, he will often take risks and does not care about the consequences for the part time. This results in him getting injured somewhat frequently. He tends to laugh it off unless he's injured to the point he needs to rest. When he is injured to the point of having a broken bone or having to be on bed rest, he tends to become much less emotional and melancholy. He does not like being stuck in bed and will often try to get out as often as he can while recovering, thus injuring himself more in the process.
Family is something he cares greatly about. He cares a lot about his family and will often encourage his little sisters in any way he can. He is also protective of them as a result.

Zagi lived a pretty normal life inside Fort Weyr. Even at a young age, he was a very competitive child and very active as well. His father, a man named Yeagar, was a dragonrider. He often spent time running around and playing with his younger sisters, even doing little competitions with them as they grew up such as: eating the most food, who could run the fastest, and who could jump the highest. As Zagi was older, he could often out-compete them and it made him really proud of himself.
His life didn't really even change when Golre raided Fort Weyr. His father, naturally, went to help defend the weyr and, while some did lose family members, Zagi didn't. Yeagar came back with only minor injuries at worst. Zagi was only eight years old at this point, so there really wasn't anything he could do except live how he normally did.
Around when he was thirteen, he attended the maiden hatching of the senior queen, Serapheth. As each egg hatched, he watched with interest and Yeagar noticed with a soft smile on his face. After the hatching, he encouraged Zagi to go into candidacy. After all, a lot of children who had dragonrider and wherhandler parents often became candidates.
Zagi would do such a thing and while studying, he became intrigued by whers. They seemed so different from dragons and while they did not fight thread the same way dragons did, Zagi felt a connection to whers. Thus, he decided when he turned eighteen, he would become a full on wher candidate.
During his first year of candidacy as a wher candidate, two eggs mysteriously disappeared from Fort Weyr, only to appear in High Reaches Weyr. Zagi didn't seem to honestly care about it. After all, they weren't WHER eggs. There wasn't a chance that one of the eggs was supposed to impress to him.
Besides, was High Reaches Weyr really that desperate for eggs to steal?
They were truly pathetic.

- Early Summer 2773: Zagi is given the Rain Mist Egg by Tamisk. Shortly afterwards, the egg hatched into Blue Zagisk.
