FULL APPEARANCE:
While some might call him handsome, Aindal doesn't really care too much about his own appearance. His hair is usually mussed and he is more likely to be sporting a scraggly beard than be cleanshaven.
Overall, he is around average for a Pernese male in height, though he does carry a bit of extra weight due to his lack of excercise outside of what is needed for his chores. His skin is a slightly yellow hued light tan in shade. It's clear and free of pockmarks. He was lucky in his early teen years to not have much oil on his skin and thus avoided outbreaks of acne.
Aindal's eyes are a dark brown, nearly black shade and are somewhat slanted with an almond shape to them. He is cursed with a larger nose, which he despises, but it runs in his family. He chuckles that Jelys got the same nose and hates it even more than he does. A pronounced jaw but soft chin gives him a square shaped face, but at least his ears aren't very noticable.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Aindal is easy-going. He's more open, full of smiles and cheer, and never hesitates to give a greeting to anyone who should pass. His personality makes him easy to approach and befriend. He's kind and gentle and cares for his friends and family. But that's not to say he doesn't have a temper. It's there, but for the most part it lies dormant. If roused though, he's quite capable of standing up for himself. He's strong and sturdy, more than able to hold his own. He simply chooses not to instigate a fight. He feels that it's not worth it.
He does his fair share of work, whatever he can to help others. He is quite polite and punctual as well. When not working, he sometimes prefers light reading. He adores Firelizards, and spends a lot of time interacting with them. He considers himself to be dependable, and always tries to keep up with his chores, as well as helping others with theirs. The downside to being such a helpful sort though is that it leaves him tired. A lot.

Siblings:
Dalsa, F, 27, Journeywoman Miner and Handler of Green Dalsk. Dalsa was already apprenticed off to the miners by the time Aindal became old enough to notice his siblings. He did see her from time to time, but she mostly stayed to the mines she worked with. Not all that long ago, she bonded to a green Wher who called herself Dalsk.
Jelsir, M, 24, Candidate, Somewhat close as they are both candidates by choice. Aindal looks up to him. His brother becoming a Candidate drove Aindal to be one too. He worries that Jelsir might not Impress because of how old he is getting.
Jelys, F, 22, Journeywoman Cook (Baking), Him and Jelys fight like cats and dogs. there is a fierce dislike for her, though he wouldn't quite call it hate.
Lysain, M, 19, Apprentice Tailor (clothing design), Lysain and Aindal are kind of close. Lysain likes using Aindal as a model to get a different look out of his designs.
Alysa, F, 18, Candidate, At only a year older, Aindal and Alysa are pretty close, especially as they are both candidates.

HISTORY:Aindal is the youngest born to his parents. They have lived at Fort Weyr all their lives. Both of his parents were Riders, weyrmates, so had many children. As the baby of the family, he was a bit spoiled by his older brothers and sisters. His favorite sibling was his brother Jelsir. He admired his older brother, wanting to copy everything he did.
When Jelsir made the choice to be a Candidate instead of join a craft, Aindal resolved to do the same when he was old enough. He had a decent relationship with most of his other siblings too, except for his sister Jelys. No one really knows why the two were so twitchy around each other, but it seemed that no matter what, if Aindal and Jelys were in the same room, there would be some sort of argument.
When Aindal was around 10 turns, his family was off for a holiday on the beach. Aindal was having fun playing in the water, but suddenly found himself swept out by a surprise crosscurrent. He was recovered quickly due to both of his parent's dragons being there, but it left him with a small fear of water from his near drowning.
As soon as he turned old enough, he put himself forward as a candidate. The lessons were hard and going from a life of leisure to seemingly constant chores was harder, but he knew he had to make it work somehow. Despite being left on the sands time and again, he only had to look to his brother, Jelsir, to keep up the optimism that he would Impress one day. He knew he could take up a craft, but his almost slavish devotion to following his brother had him chosing not to, since Jelsir didn't.
Aindal never really had the inclination toward current events, so things that happened in the weyr basically passed him by. He heard about things occuring, but couldn't muster the interest to really follow what was going on. He didn't really know, nor care about them. He focused on the eggs that were laid and hatched, and making himself the best candidate he could be.
