Timon is a scrawny young man at 5' 5" tall, but he doesn't let his size stop him from following his dreams. Thanks to long days spent romping outdoors, his skin is notably tan and dotted by freckles all across his nose and cheeks. Full of life, his eyes are a bright brown color, while his hair is bright flaming orange, in a mess of wild curls that always fall into his eyes. Timon enjoys looking nice while still being able to tussle, so his usual wear consists of button-down shirts and slacks matched to some fine suspenders, as well as boots suited for running and climbing and everything else he does. But he can rarely can do his shirt buttons right, giving him a messy and disorganized look, but he carries on in spite of his less-than-perfect appearance.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Timon is an energetic young man, a wanderer and an explorer who loves experiencing new things. But oddly enough, Timon can be both a daredevil and extremely cowardly. Dare him to eat a weird bug and he'll eat three. A sudden loud noise that can't be explained and Timon is nowhere to be found. Absolutely loyal, he is devoted to his family and his friends, always willing to help. While his boisterous and loud attitude can be overwhelming, he's capable of toning it down to a more comfortable level, given a few prods and some explaining.
Timon is often forgetful, his daydreamy nature taking him far from Pern. Additionally, he often has difficulty identifying others' emotions, sometimes resulting in him offering them help that feels tactless, resulting in potentially furthering a difficult situation. Though it may take time for him to realize his errors and shrug off his impulse to keep denying his role in creating more complications, Timon will ultimately admit his guilt and apologize.
Timon can be incredibly selfish. Resentment and frustration plague him, feeling he ought to receive what good things others get. Given time and effort and support, he might be able overcome his caustic nature, but he's seen little success. In being so self-centered, he can express it though sarcasm and hostility while trying to manage his complex emotions.
It may not be obvious, but Timon can be very brave. If he can overcome his fear, which is much easier if his those he cares for are in danger, he will face a hazard himself, no matter what risks he brings on himself. Such recklessness often gets him into trouble more often than not, but he can't stand idly by while someone's in danger; it's completely against his nature. Though he struggles to manage his own issues inwardly, Timon will do his best to help others, though his usual tactic of yelling loudly isn't very effective.

BIRTHPLACE: Igen Weyr
HISTORY:
Timon has always been an ordinary weyrbrat, born to a pair of dragonriders of Igen Weyr and raised mostly by creche workers. Though his mother was often "too busy" to visit her son, his father always made time to see Timon. A sense of awe for dragonriders developed from spending time and being close to his father and his enormous brown, a warm and friendly dragon; ever since, an intense longing to volunteer as a Candidate, to one day be a dragonrider, bloomed in his heart.
Timon spent much of his childhood roaming Igen's plains, going on adventures under his foster mother's watchful eye. A generous and loving woman, she presented Timon a firelizard's egg upon his return from playing one evening, hoping he'd like her gift. How ecstatic he was! Taking extra good care of his egg, it soon hatched, granting Timon a large brown flit and constant companion he named Pumbaa.
Timon had a close call on one of his romps outside his Weyr's safety, at about twelve Turns old. Exploring some sandy wastes in Igen's shadow, a sandsnake was disturbed from its rest by an oblivious Timon's walking. Pumbaa sensed danger and didn't hesitate to charge as it attacked. Timon bolted away unscathed, though tremendously surprised, while Pumbaa fled before it recovered and decided to counterattack. After such a near miss, Timon stuck a little closer to Igen Weyr and his love for Pumbaa increased tenfold.
Timon was fourteen during which time he learned he had family both within and beyond Igen Weyr. Half-siblings; two older half-brothers, one traveling in a caravan somewhere and one a resident dragonrider in Igen, while his big half-sister was a recently Impressed dragonrider. Though uncertainty stayed his hand for a brief period, he worked up enough courage to approach his older half-brother, A'den. It was like finding paradise! But before Timon could meet his half-sister, Rhaenys had transferred to Fort; though saddened by such news, Timon returned to daily life, determined to write letters to her.
Timon entered Candidacy on his fifteenth Turnday, eager to Impress and be a rider like his family. In his heart, he hoped a brown like his father's would like him, but perhaps a blue or a white like his half-brother and half-sister would choose him! Though he stood for multiple clutches, he found no fortune, but he still had Turns and Turns left to try! But once news arrived that A'den was transferring to Fort, he immediately realized what he would do. If he moved to Fort too, he'd be close to other members of his family! Requesting transfer as well and saying goodbye to his father, Timon accompanied his half-brother to Fort.
