"See I spent my teens enraged
Spiraling in silence
And I armed myself with a grin
'Cause I was always the fuckin' joker."

FULL APPEARANCE:
Bellatrix has no real stand-out traits. She'd very easily disappear into a crowd. She's of a decent height and average weight. She has green eyes that she tends to keep half-lidded, leading to a constant slightly tired look. Her ginger hair is well maintained and kept at a length she thinks looks best on her- somewhere in the middle between chin and shoulder length. She has the faintest smattering of freckles across the pale skin of her cheeks and nose.
She prefers to wear darker colors, pants, and collared shirts. The most stand-out thing about her is the way that she walks. There's a bit of a bounce or a bob motion to it accompanied by a sway. She attributes it to favoring a broken leg in her youth.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Bellatrix thinks of herself as a funny person. With her dry sense of humor, and her ability to think fast on her feet, she can typically crack a joke about whatever is going on in the moment. She's generally a pretty self-confident and charismatic person and puts all her effort into whatever she's trying to accomplish, regardless of if it's a lost cause or not.
She has tended to play the 'therapist friend' role in the past and continues to do so when the situation arises. She isn't super empathetic and has the worst time trying to put herself in other people's shoes, but she does her best with sympathy. She is the type of person who will give good advice to others and then, if a situation involving herself came about where that advice she gave would be useful, she'll never listen to it.
Bellatrix herself has trouble controlling her anger and makes empty threats to people as a subconscious way to try and release a little bit of that. If you really wanted to get into it, she has a hard time managing all of her negative emotions. She bottles up her every little problem and concern. Eventually, that bottle will become too full and overflow because of something small or insignificant. She'll need to take a little bit to calm herself down after that.

BIRTHPLACE: Fort Sea Hold
HISTORY:
Bellatrix was the second of five children born to two fishers. It was a common trade of those living at Fort Sea Hold, given its proximity to the sea and all. She became very aware from a young age that she'd be doing her fair amount of fishing when she grew up. That thought didn't really excite her, but well, it would help the family. She was fine with that.
Having a relatively large amount of friends was something that Bellatrix was quite proud of herself for achieving. She liked spending her free time goofing off and cracking jokes with them, as any kid would like to do. The only thing that really bothered her was that somewhere along the line, she became the one a handful of them came to when they had an issue. Maybe she was too nice at some point and made them feel comfortable, or maybe she was their last choice, it didn't matter. She'd found herself in that position, and was a little afraid to try and wiggle out of it. She didn't want to lose some friends because she needed to take a break and deal with her own problems. She quickly started bottling up her own emotions to make room for her friends'.
When she got old enough to work, she started fishing with her parents and her older sister. When the rest of her siblings were old enough, they joined them. Fishing was good work, and she enjoyed it more than she thought she would. The only time it was ever bad was when she'd broken her leg. The waves were a little too rough and the boat was rocking too hard and a box shifted out of its spot and came barrelling towards her. The momentum it hit her leg caused a minor fracture that hurt like all hell. Once the family got back to shore, they took her to see the local healer. Eight weeks later, she was all healed up and ready to fish again. It- life- was repetitive, wake up, fish, hang out with friends, sleep. She never complained because she actually kinda liked the routine of it all.
Getting searched was not something that was ever on her agenda, but when it happened... well, she was a little proud. Maybe more than a little, but she couldn't help it. It was an honor, wasn't it? That's what she was told, and that's why Bellatrix knew she had to go and stand as a candidate. She left for Fort Weyr after saying her goodbyes to her family. It's only been a short while since she arrived and she's having her difficulties adjusting to Weyr life. She's really hoping that's going to change soon.
