Despite him and Asch being brothers, they don't look very much alike. Loek is a guy who tends to appear a bit younger than he actually is. He has a very youthful appearance. He has short red hair that can get very messy at times and green eyes. He tends to wear lighter colors. He has a slightly muscular build as well. He tends to wear more loose clothes, often wearing pants with a lot of extra room.

PERSONALITY:
Loek is a guy who tends to act without thinking at times. Well, most of the time. He is very impulsive and he isn't really afraid to say what's on his mind, no matter how rude it can sound or how much it may hurt someone else's feelings. Along with this, he tended to get in trouble very easily. It was as if trouble naturally found it's way to him. Because of this, he tends to think that he's unlucky and that he'll always be like this. He.. just began to stop trying to stay out of trouble and just kind of accepted that he would have be in trouble a lot. As such, he tends to be very carefree at times.
However, while he's impulsive and rude at times, he's a very loyal friend. He is the type of person who likes to be by his friends' sides and he is willing to hear them out no matter what happens. While he's a brat at times, he does try his best to help those around him. He's a hard worker too when he puts his mind to it. He also wants to try and be a good brother to Asch, even though the two have their differences.

HISTORY:
Loek was born three years after his older brother, a happy and rambunctious boy from the start. However, he tended to get in trouble quite a bit, often running his mouth and causing problems with other children or with adults. Because of this, he tends to be considered a 'problem' child by those in the hold where they lived. He also did not have many friends growing up, with one of his few friends being his older brother.
However, he had no idea about the resentment Asch held towards him. He always thought his brother was just the best person. He would often try to spend time with his brother, learning with him. He was happy that the other did not choose to take up an apprenticeship and, thus, decided to follow his example.
One day, it happened. A searchrider had come to their hold and the dragon seemed to see potential in Asch. Loek was heartbroken, but cheered on his brother as he left. He wanted his brother to be happy.
That was how life was for the next three turns. Loek worked hard on the family farm before something happened. Another searchrider, different from the one that took Asch, had come to the hold. This time, it was Loek who was chosen to go back to Fort Weyr to become a dragonrider.
An opportunity he was all too eager to accept.
