Overall, Jaguji isn't much to look at. He's of average build and short-to-average height, with short brown hair, light brown eyes, and pale skin. At present, he has no major visible scars or marks to declare. Clothing-wise, he prefers to wear browns and dull orange vests over shirts in whites and greys. He dresses in layers. His face and eyes are very expressive.

Jaguji is a man who constantly cries, worries, and apologizes. Surely this can get annoying, as not everyone likes a crybaby, or someone who over-apologizes for every little thing. He's also easily startled.
However, on the other side of the coin, he's extremely caring and very, very brave. He's a leader at heart despite his weaknesses, typically inspiring strong loyalty amongst those who choose to follow him. He makes a point to familiarize himself with everyone he knows and pays both care and attention to their needs. If someone wants to be left alone, he'll leave them alone--if they want someone to stand by them and be a shoulder, he'll gladly be that shoulder for them.
At a young age he decided he would cry when he needed to and not bother with acting tough, so he could be brave and stand strong when confronted with something challenging. He feels fear and terror in equal measure, but rises above these feelings when it matters. When it comes down to it, Jaguji is definitely not a pushover, but can also be a bit manipulative, using his crybaby demeanor to deceive someone who may be trying to hurt him or those close to him.

Jaguji was born in a small hold near Ruatha, far enough from the Hold proper not to be a part of it, but still close enough to travel to and from in a reasonable amount of time. He grew up with a younger brother and various cousins, most of his extended family making up the tiny hold's population. He was always a crybaby, always sort of bullied by his older relatives, though would protect his younger sibling from his rougher older cousins without hesitation. Luckily, other than some bruises, he didn't suffer any real damage from their redirected attention. But he'd take it all on a thousand times more to make sure his sibling didn't have to worry about anything.
Growing up, not much of grand interest happened. There weren't any ggreat tragedies that took his parents or his brother, no wild invasions or even madness. His hold was small enough to avoid most of the drama between Fort and High Reaches, and though they heard about it and were reasonably wary of the latter, they weren't captured or razed. Relations with dragonriders stayed positive overall.
The family attended a few Gathers at Ruatha, a few of Jaguji's cousins were Searched to Fort and either Impressed there or moved on, but a few chose to visit. A few even took the time to teach young Jaguji and his brother how to read, so when he was Searched at nineteen, he was ahead of some of his peers in the Lessons area. Of course, leaving home was incredibly difficult, but his brother was old enough to take care of himself and with the promise of protecting his family from Thread, and the honor he'd bring to his parents, he couldn't refuse.
Now he just needed to find a himself a firelizard so he could write to them all.
