Fujin is a short teenager with black hair in a bowlcut. He has piercing blue eyes and has a very lithe, slim figure. He tends to wear a lot of blue, having a fondness of the color and enjoying it greatly. He has a small purple necklace that he tends to keep hidden in his pockets. He also tends to wear longer sleeves, due to his dislike for the sun touching his skin. As a result, he is also fairly pale.

Fujin does not want to make friends. At all.
He is often a very cynical and snarky person, speaking harshly to those he does not want to talk to- which tends to be most people. This attitude is also the same towards most adults, excluding the candidatemaster. He'll work with others when he needs to, but other than that, he keeps them as far away as possible. It is rare to see him being friendly towards others. He prefers to keep to himself and can often be seen studying away and preparing for his next candidate lesson.
Admittedly, he's afraid of growing attached. The last person he was really close to suddenly left him by moving away and it hurt him. He does have a bit of a soft side towards animals, especially cats. He enjoys petting cats and will often sneak snacks off out to cats when he is able to. He doesn't really handle pressure well and tries to keep a lot of things bottled up. He dreams of big things and, as a result, tends to keep any stress bottled up. He also tends to get annoyed when people desire a specific dragon color.
They should be happy to even get a dragon.

Fujin admittedly lived a very lonely childhood. He was raised by a single mother and he never knew his father, but he really had no want or need for anything. His mother, who told him that his father, who was a holder much like she was, had died while she was pregnant, was one of the wealthiest in the hold and she paid for him to be taught to read and write at a young age. However, they didn't exactly see eye to eye. Even as a child, he dreamed of becoming a dragonrider and to fly the skies. However, his mother told him often that it was unlikely he'd become a dragonrider and that he shouldn't dream of something that may never happen. Eventually, he gave up on this dream as a child.
He didn't tend to get along with the other children either, often being abrasive towards them and not wanting to play with them. There was one child, however, who preserved to become his friend. It took a while, but slowly, Fujin began to feel comfortable around him. The two became friends slowly, but, Fujin was happy to have a friend.
However, this wouldn't last forever, as, at the age of ten turns, his friend suddenly left the hold. Even though they had said their goodbyes, it hurt Fujin that he'd no longer see him. This hurt him, a lot. It even got to the point he began to cut himself off from other people and just focus on what he wanted to do. This was typically reading or listening to the harpers tell stories.
He didn't expect, though, that his dream would eventually come true. At the age of fifteen, a searchrider arrived at the hold. A lot of children were excited at the idea and began to gossip about who would be taken. Fujin did his best to avoid the conversations and the searchrider, despite his previous desire to become a dragonrider. However, it seemed fate had another plan for him, the dragon noticing him and choosing him to come with them back to the weyr.
He was astonished and, while his mother exclaimed she was 'oh so happy' for him, Fujin couldn't deny he felt some anger towards her. She had been the one who convinced him to give up this 'near impossible' dream. However, he locked away these emotions, arriving in Fort Weyr shortly before he turned sixteen.
Now, he just needs to wait and see if a dragon will ever choose him or if his mother was right.
