As far as looks go, Buzz considers herself pretty average. Black hair more on the brown spectrum, kept cut at her shoulders, a fringe falling over her brow. Brown eyes leaning more toward an average light brown. She's a little shorter than average for female-born Pernese residents, but this doesn't bother her at all. She's quite fit, as one might expect of a Candidate or any rider-to-be, and dresses in clothing that's easy to move in but doesn't really care one way or the other about fashion. If it looks nice, she might wear it, but it's more important to her that she can move around.

A big sister personality squished into a little sister body. She's a little bit rough-and-tumble and a little bit of trouble, but seems to know how to toe the line between actually doing something that will get her or someone else into trouble and doing what she's supposed to do. Despite being raised by a foster family with her adoptive brother from the age of four, she still sometimes pockets food or stashes it away for later. Especially non-perishables.
She has a tendency to lightheartedly poke fun at people, though sometimes may take it a little too far and end up having to apologize for sore spots or accidentally hurt feelings. A good sign that someone is viewed as a close friend or companion is if she, without resentment, picks on or insults them--though she reserves any physical "violence" for her dear brother. Even as a grown adult, she likes to hassle him for her own amusement--though does respect any lines he (or anyone else, should they arise) may draw.
Buzz does have a protective streak and tends to look after those around her even if they're older--even much older. She cares a lot about other people and their health and well-being, though isn't necessarily the best at showing it on all occasions. Sometimes she may be too forward or blunt to the point of being insulting.

Buzz was born from a tryst between a young woman and her lover, the latter of whom would suffer a fatal accident sometime before their child was born. Her mother struggled to raise their child alone; but food was scarce, and ultimately the woman was forced to give her up to be raised by the community, lest they both starve. Not understanding why her mother had left or where she had gone, Buzz frequently escaped from her caretakers to search for her (to no avail).
It was during one such venture that she would meet Sigil, who would take her back to his foster family and convince them to take her in. Under their care she came to accept that her mother had gone somewhere she would not be able to find, but Sigil and the others filled the void her mother had left in each their own way. He was the older sibling she didn't know she wanted, and she became quite fond of her adoptive family--though was always closer with Sigil than any of them.
The two siblings would play together all the time, including a fateful accident when she was only 9 that resulted in Sigil having a permanent scar on his face. While climbing together, she had playfully pushed her brother on a branch--but he had lost his footing, and fallen to the ground. To this day she feels remorse over the incident, considering broken bones and scars weren't the only thing that could have happened, though she no longer brings it up.
When she was sixteen, she and her brother were Searched to High Reaches. Once there, they stood for every possible clutch, swapping to each Candidate-shared Weyr in hopes of bonding to one of the young dragons. Sigil would Impress at Semaca when Buzz was eighteen, but to her dismay she would be left standing. She considered staying at Semaca to avoid being separated from him, but after bonding to a Firelizard decided to chase the opportunity to Impress herself. It was difficult being apart, but she sent him frequent letters with updates of happenings in her life and at High Reaches during his Weyrlinghood.
Although Sigil returned after his training, Buzz had yet to Impress to a dragon. She continued to engage in Candidate share transfers, jumping between Semaca and Fort and High Reaches with each clutch, but now remains in High Reaches for the foreseeable future. She doesn't necessarily agree with what is going on around her, or what the rumours may say about theft, but she'll stay by her brother's side through whatever the world brings.
