FULL APPEARANCE:
Vil has a slim figure and long legs, a body he truly loves. He has a soft heart-shaped face and, when it's down, blond hair that goes to his shoulders. When his hair is up, he tends to braid it around and pin it behind his head. He tends to wear Pernese makeup frequently, especially eyeshadow. He has a fondness of the color, blue, and will often wear the color as a result.

PERSONALITY:
To say Vil is vain is an understatement. He is a person who loves to be in the spotlight in a positive way. However, he does not like to admit when he's messed up, often denying it to himself. He really wants people to view him in a positive light, to the point he will lie and hide things he views can cause for him to be shown in a negative light. However, this can cause for the situation to quickly get out of his control and cause further problems. He tends to be fond of makeup and tends to put on kohl when he can.
He is also quite ambitious. He wants to be in a position of power. However, he only wants to be one position, weyrleader. He tends to be opportunistic and, when he sees an opportunity to put himself in a high position, he's all too happy to take it. However, this also leads to him tending to be incredibly jealous of those who are in positions of power. He tends to make it very clear if he dislikes someone, or is jealous of them. He will often speak about them in a snarky manner and has been known to give backhanded compliments. He is someone who tends to let his feelings be well known, and he will often complain.
Vil, however, does have a soft side. He enjoys being around animals and nature and, if he had not chosen to become a candidate, he would have been very fitting as a beastcrafter. He is all too happy to compliment those he views as friends and likes to help them where he can. He especially adores Syzygiuth. She is a perfect dragon for him and is all too happy to lavish her with gifts and the like.

Vil was born and raised in Ista Weyr. His mother was a tailor by trade while her weyrmate was a dragonrider. Vil and his younger sister would often be around the other children in the creche, but around when Vil was ten, a new boy would end up joining their group. He and this boy, named Eijirou, became fast friends and Vil acted as sort of their leader of their group of friends. Perhaps this was the start of his desire for power, as he enjoyed being the leader of their group of friends.
Shortly after Vil turned fifteen, he became a candidate, with Eijirou following behind him. He was excited to become a dragonrider. However, it was quick that he had a smart mouth. There were a number of times he got in trouble with older riders for his attitude. He really did not like this, as he wanted to become weyrleader one day. Eventually, while he was heading to his dorm from classes, another candidate, one with mousey brown hair, approached him and asked for some advice when it came to kloh. This, admittedly, surprised Vil. He was quick to tell her that she looked beautiful without it. Perhaps that was how the two became friends? Vil was all too happy to become friends with Ochako.
Especially when all three of them would impress at the same hatching. Perhaps it was fate. He congratulated his two friends when they impressed (though he nearly jumped out of his skin as he saw Eijirou get attacked while protecting another candidate). Near the end of the hatching, a small garnet dragon broke free from her egg, looking around timidly before finally making her way to Vil.
Oh, it was love at first sight.
He wanted to give Syzygiuth the world. She deserved the best and he wanted to ensure she got it. However, there was one position he knew he would never be able to get at Ista Weyr, becoming weyrleader. After all, he did not have a dragon who would chase. Naturally, he thought this was unfair and often complained about it to other people, with little to no luck and even some harsh words being exchanged between him and some older riders. Thus, he began to quickly make plans to move to High Reaches when he could. After all, High Reaches allowed anyone to become weyrleader, if they won the election.
However, he did not want to leave Eijirou and Ochako, even if he felt that the move would be much better for him than staying in Ista Weyr. Thus, he decided to wait until both of them wanted to leave. He even encouraged them asking out Katsuki, though he did not honestly care for the bronze rider. Before Aldoeith's maiden clutch hatched, though, they would arrive in High Reaches, due to Katsuki deciding to transfer there. As they watched the eggs hatch, Vil was surprised to see the gold dragonet, Galdeneth, impress to a guy.
He decided that he would have to keep an eye out on this Zagreus. After all, it wasn't any day that a guy would become a goldrider.
