A tall, slender woman, Lobelia looks like she could be a famous harper in another life. She's striking, her skin pale and her hair wild and black. She does take very good care of her hair, but it always turns out curled and coiled, and she has given up trying to keep it from doing that. She tends to wear dresses when not in her riding leathers, spending her marks on more expensive dark clothing she believes compliments her fair complexion. Whether it actually does is hit or miss. She has a fondness for a little rouge when she isn't doing drills or fighting Thread.

PERSONALITY:
Lobelia is, comparatively, a confident and put-together woman. She has all her ducks in a row, and has her shit together. She's firm in her position, and has no real desire to advance beyond wingrider. She's content with where she is. Lobelia is a rather friendly person, generally easy to get along with. However she's not super talkative, and can often come off as cold and dismissive, as she does not emote very well and has been often known to look like she has a resting wher face. She does nothing to remedy this. Lobelia is a lover, and loves long and deeply, should someone actually ever meet her standards.
All this aside, Lobelia does deeply prefer to keep others far from her. She does not like to be touched, reacting often with a fight or flight response if she does not know it is coming. She can force herself to behave around healers, but her dislike of being touched has caused incidents. As friendly as she is, she has very few - if any - friends, believing herself to be more efficient if it is only her doing the job right. She and Imeterth feed into the worst parts of each other as much as they do the positives, and Lobelia believes that if she can keep others away from her, then no one will hurt her or her beloved blue.

Born an unremarkable young lady in an unremarkable location, Lobelia's youth was full of travel and work. She was helping with the caravan from a young age, be it just counting stores, sorting small items, or slowly moving up to larger and larger tasks like taking care of the draybeasts and driving the wagons. She had a quiet childhood, simply moving from place to place often. Her aversion to being touched was apparent early on, and she got into more than a few scuffles among other children her age - and some young adults when she was older - resulting in her preferring to keep everyone far away from her physically.
When she was 23, the caravan made a routine stop at High Reaches Weyr. Finding herself growing somewhat bored with the constant travel, she spoke with her parents and was permitted to finally go out on her own, to stay at the Weyr. She enlisted in candidacy, standing for the Medallion clutch as her first. Though she had little hope that she would impress, as she was so new and not particularly a proper weyr woman, she was very happily surprised with a pale as moonlight blue found her, and her love for Imeterth was instantaneous and full.
Lobelia threw herself into her new role, loving her blue with every part of her being and much more. While doing simple errand-flying during late weyrlinghood, they were caught in a sudden and swift storm, crashing into a remote part of High Reaches territory. Imeterth called to anyone in range, keeping his rider safe from a roaming wher pack that had come upon them and thought the young blue was a free meal. Lobelia, injured, had to hope there would be rescue, and when a large brown came sailing down to them, she was relieved. Impressed with Imeterth, Brown Delinarth took a shine to the blue, and as Lobelia's injuries healed, Imeterth and Delinarth grew very close.
Upon graduation, Lobelia and Imeterth moved into Ingrid's weyr, so Imeterth and Delinarth could stay together.
