Jason is an incredibly tall man. He is incredibly muscular, having always enjoyed working with his hands. He tends to wear darker and more neutral tones as his preferred color choice. He has a salt and pepper colored buzzcut and a circle beard. His face usually appears neutral for the most part. His eyes are a dark blue. Due to his age, he has wrinkles on his face. He also has a small freckle on his right cheek. When his arms are exposed, there are a number of scars, mostly due to Threadfall or him getting injured when he was younger.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Jason is a quiet individual, often not speaking unless spoken to first. This is due to him being extremely shy. He tends to prefer not to speak unless spoken to, and finds it very awkward to speak up when in groups. Along with this, he has a fear of being in water in which he can't touch the ground without floating or sinking into the water. Because of this, he will often stay in shallower parts of the lake.
Jason often tries to appear unemotional, often with a poker face on. He is usually very calm as well, able to think rationally even when others panic. He is a hard worker as well, willing to take on extra chores if it will help the weyr as a whole. The one person Jason feels comfortable around is Freddy. The two share a close bond and, if alone, Jason will often worry about the other. Freddy is usually the one person Jason tends to show emotions to. Jason tends to be sociably awkward as well, not noticing social cues until some time has passed.

HISTORY:
Jason's life was simple up until he was fifteen. He lived with his parents and younger sister in a minor hold near Igen Hold. Even as a young child, he was much taller than the other children his age. He didn't really make a lot of friends, mostly due to his shyness. However, this changed one day when a new family moved to the hold. They had a son around Jason's age named Freddy. Almost immediately, Freddy befriended Jason and another child, Zigor. Jason felt.. more relaxed around Freddy. Because of this, Jason was also able to befriend Zigor.
Jason's father wanted for him to follow in his footsteps, to become a master smither. Jason had no real objections and he knew it could help a lot of people in the hold. As soon as he was able to, he began a smith apprentice. He was happy to hear that Freddy began to train as a harper, while Zigor practiced healercraft. In fact, he thought life couldn't get any better than it was when he was fourteen.
However, shortly after he turned fifteen, a rider arrived at the hold. Jason could hear the excitement in Freddy's shout when he ran over. He was happy to hear his friend had been searched, but that happiness soon switched to surprise when Freddy began to shove him to the rider and demanding Jason got searched too. This made the other embarrassed, but the rider chuckled after a bit. It seemed his dragon viewed Jason favorably for him to be searched as well. With that, the two of them were off to Igen Weyr.
Arriving at the weyr honestly made Jason a bit uncomfortable since he had never been there before, but Freddy was there beside him. They would end up in the same room as well, something Jason greatly appreciated. They studied together for five years before it happened. A somewhat small egg hatched and, almost immediately, the bronze dragon inside rushed to Jason. The dragon was already the size of an equine despite his young age and Jason felt connected to him immediately. After all, he had been incredibly tall as a child. As he fed this dragon, Jezeroth, he saw Freddy impress to an adorable green dragon. He felt relief wash over him, especially as he knew he wouldn't be alone as they worked to become dragonriders. He was fond of his classes too.. well.. except the swimming class. He had stayed on the shore as often as he could as Jezeroth learned to swim.
However, a year after they impressed, the Interval War started. Surprisingly, Jason did not worry about his future, even though he would be fighting in the war once he graduated. After all, Igen Weyr was now his home and he wanted to protect not only the weyr, but his little sister, who had been searched shortly after he impressed. When they finally graduated, Jason took to the sky, depending Igen with a strong resolve.
About two turns after they graduated, Jason realized he viewed Freddy more than just a friend. He felt warm feelings towards him, greater than friendship. It took him a lot to admit his feelings, but, to his shock, Freddy laughed and said he was happy he was finally honest to himself. Jason felt like Freddy was just mocking him until the other grabbed his cheeks and kissed him on the lips. From that day on, they became weyrmates.
He continued fighting in the Interval War until the war ended in 2755. During this turn as well, his little sister impressed and became a wherhandler. It was the night after her graduation that the two received news that would devastate them.
Their mother, unknowingly to the two of them, had been sick for a while and had finally died due to her illness. Jason felt especially heartbroken due to this, as he had loved her and would write her letters as often as he could. Freddy did his best to comfort his weyrmate. He didn't like seeing Jason this way, so he decided to get him a surprise gift. Jason was surprised when Freddy gave him a flit egg, which shortly hatched into a brown flit. Almost immediately, Jason hugged his weyrmate, thanking him for the gift. The young flit was named Tommy.
The two lived in relative peace in their weyr until around 2770. Freddy remarked on how he wanted to change things up. Jason had no opposition to that, but they wanted to find a place both of them would like. Eventually, it was decided they would move to High Reaches Weyr. Though, they would not arrive until the fall of 2771, due to Jason finding it hard to say goodbye to his sister.
He was quick to start in his new role at the weyr, though. He did not mind the change of pace. Besides, he knew he had those who loved him who were ready to support him if anything happened.
