Caleb is rather pretty. All blonde hair, blue eyes, angled jaw and fair skin with not a blemish to be found anywhere, he is like a blank canvas that refuses to be painted on, and it works for him. He is muscular without being overly so and fairly tall. He looks softer than his personality, that is certain.
He often wears darker colors and blues the same color as his eyes. He tries to look as appealing as he can, usually resulting in him looking fancier than his younger brothers.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
There is no doubt that Caleb is his father’s son. A charismatic, conniving, strategic man, he takes what he wants and has no mercy. Always encouraged by his father, he doesn’t know when to stop, be it in goading on someone to elicit a reaction, insults, or physically taking what he wants. He is rough and tough around the edges and doesn’t hesitate to cut others off mid-sentence if he doesn’t like what they’re saying. He is prone to hatred before friendship, as his arrogant nature keeps him from making genuine friendships.
He is definitely traditional in his thinking and has a strong dislike for garnets, female bronzeriders or brownriders, and any sort of mutation. If you are of any worth, you have a bronze or at least a brown. He is not a fan of any of his little brothers and thinks many of them unlucky that he was not at home for the majority of their lives to be an example of what a future bronzerider should look like. If he had been at home more, his brothers would have suffered his wrath more often. He feels entitled to greatness, and if he doesn’t get it, his temper arises. He is generally a ball of snark and sass. There is no softness to his words to be found.
He has a fondness for politics.

HISTORY:
Caleb was born in a noisy cothold, but it wasn’t always as such. The first born of thirteen sons had seen each of his brothers be born and watched them grow up for most of his life. After the twins were born, he cut himself off emotionally from them all, more concerned with impressing his father.
Favoritism was strong in the family, and ‘love’ was only garnered by proving to father that you were rough, tough, and took what you wanted without a second’s notice. For Caleb, this came easily, and he became his father’s favorite. He cared not for his mother as she was frail and sickly. He then began picking on his brothers, mostly the older ones as he thought that the younger ones were a waste of time and that they should have stopped at him, having one excellent child rather than a multitude of mediocracy with one diamond among them all.
At the age of fifteen, he left his hold. His father had set him up with a ride to Telgar, as Caleb didn't want to have to continue dealing with his little brothers when they inevitably went to High Reaches Weyr as candidates, and they both believed that Caleb would fair better living off the Isle, more opportunities were accessible that way. Caleb would be a bronzerider, that he and his father were certain of. Arriving and immediately standing as a candidate, Caleb made no attempts to make any friends and spent most of his time alone. He was relishing in the ability for everything to be quiet relative to his formerly noisy home. He read more, listened about the political state of the Weyrs more often, increased his intelligence between Hatchings.
He was the first among his brothers to Impress, and he thought it rightly so that it was a bronze. He set the bar high by Impressing to Marceth, and immediately sent home letters to his father of his achievement. When he graduated, he returned home for a visit and to brag to his younger siblings. Returning not long after, he found himself falling into the politics of Telgar. He and his father would send letters back and forth of his times in Telgar and the happenings in their home Hold.
Eventually, Caleb got bored with Telgar. One can only know the ins and outs of a Weyr for so long without getting bored. Transferring to a new Weyr would suffice. High Reaches beckoned, and to High Reaches he transferred. Now he has to deal with his less than worthless brothers who are also there, oh joy.
