FULL APPEARANCE:
Dani has short brown hair that can sometimes look reddish in the right light. She has an extremely feminine hourglass figure with slender limbs which gives the (incorrect) impression that she isn't particularly strong. She can make most physical pursuits seem almost effortless.
She prefers the comfort and utility of her riding leathers and can most often be seen wearing those. As a result, she's very careful about keeping them maintained, since she knows wearing them more results in more natural wear and tear.

Dani is someone with a big heart and a good friend. She's always willing to help others. She loves all things cute and is a sucker for a a good love story, especially ones with happy endings. Dani is a hard worker and strives to always be ready in an emergency.
Unfortunately, sometimes Dani can seem a little too ready for emergencies. She's an adrenaline junkie and always wants to do the most dangerous stunts, to fly faster, higher, and farther. Before her impression, she was even more of a daredevil, but since Dani's only interested in putting her own life on the line, she takes slightly fewer risks now that she has a dragon partner. She is very competitive and can sometimes take things a little too far in the name of winning.
Dani can be on the bossy side, always thinking she knows best and getting impatient if everyone around her isn't as quick as her, either physically or mentally. This tendency gets worse when she's under pressure or excited, and sometimes causes her to disregard others' feelings. Once she's calmed down, though, she's quick to apologize. She's not shy about talking about feelings, but she's equally not shy about telling people what she thinks.

HISTORY:
Dani was born in Telgar Weyr to a bluerider and weyrfolk. They were pretty monogamous by Weyr standards, and Dani attributes her love of romantic stories to them. Her mother died when Dani's youngest brother was born, which rocked the whole family, but also made them closer than ever. Dani has always been close with her brothers, even Kade, despite their friendly bickering.
While she'd been alive, Dani's mother had encouraged her children to explore other options for their lives than becoming dragonriders. Dani's mother had never impressed, but felt she had a full, rewarding life nonethless, and didn't want her own children to feel like they had to follow in their father's footsteps if they didn't want to. After her mother's death, Dani spent her time in the infirmary, liking the fast-paced environment, especially after threadfalls when crises were common. Ultimately, she didn't have the patience to learn the healing arts beyond basic first aid, so it was for the best that she impressed.
While Dani become a candidate at fifteen, it would take several turns before she finally impressed. When she finally did at nineteen, she was at first thrilled that it was to a big, impressive bronze, which very quickly gave way to frustration at his more cautious nature. Their weyrling turns and the turns soon after graduation were a lot of trial and error, but ultimately the two found an equilibrium that worked for them and are now an excellent thread-fighting pair.
Dani decided to transfer to High Reaches because - while she loves her family dearly - she wanted to see what she could do out from under the shadow of her father and older brother's exploits. She was drawn to High Reaches in particular because she liked its more egalitarian approach to leadership than other Weyrs. She thinks everyone should get a chance to be a leader regardless of the color of their dragon.
