Shr'k is decently tall, attractive, and sturdily built. He keeps his hair fairly short, just long enough to be able to sweep it back and keep it from getting into his eyes. His nose and ears are slightly larger than average. He has a jawline that could cut glass.
Shr'k's body is on the stockier side, well built with muscle without being overly muscle-bound. He has a fair amount of body hair. Personal hygiene is not his strong suit, and he tends to go a bit longer between baths than he probably should. He prefers to wear simple clothes in shades of browns and grays. On special occasions, he can clean up nicely, and owns a few nice pieces of clothing for such times.

Shr'k is on the quiet side, but sarcastic and crass. He's rude and manners are non-existent with him. He loves toilet humor, and will not shy away from making jokes using it. He loves humor, and uses it as much as he can in daily conversation. He tends to be a bit belligerent towards people he doesn't know well, pushing them away so they can't get close to him. He'll insult, argue, and in rare cases, even fight people in an attempt to keep them from getting close. He seems himself as a loner, and wants to keep that perception up.
The few who do manage to break down his outer layer will find a big loyal softie who would travel the world to help his friends. Though he is a good friend, he is hesitant to show his softer side. He fears that people in his life will abandon him, so to him, it's better to keep them from getting close in the first place.
Shr'k is also stubborn and set in his ways. He does things as they've always been done and thinks that sticking to tradition is best. He has a hard time adjusting to new ways of thinking and procedures, though Donketh helps him open up his worldview.

HISTORY:
Shr'k, born Shrek, was the only child of a farmer and his wife, who worked as a house servant to the Holder. The family lived in a minor hold near Telgar, where they dedicated themselves to their work and not much else. Shrek took after his father, preferring the quiet solitude of their farm over the bustle of the center of the hold where his mother worked. He was raised knowing very little outside of the farm and the traditional teachings his parents gave him.
Through his childhood, he had very few friends, spending his days working on the farm. Even though he didn't get much socialization with his peers, his mother tried her best to teach him proper decorum and manners so he might have more opportunities than being a simple laborer when he grew up. These lessons did not take.
At 15 turns, he was Searched by a rider and went to Telgar Weyr to become a candidate. Through his candidacy, he kept to himself and continued to live a life fairly devoid of friends.
He stood for several hatchings, but did not impress until he was 25 turns. His was bronze Donketh, the last of his clutch to hatch. While Shrek, now Shr'k, was happy he had finally bonded, he soon came to realize his bonded was a social butterfly and a chatterbox. Donketh constantly drew attention to himself and by extension, Shr'k. Shr'k hated the all the extra eyes on him and just wanted to be left alone.
Over the next several turns, Shr'k did his best to just keep his head down and do his job, hating the status and attention that came with being a bronzerider. Donketh did everything he could to push Shr'k out of his comfort zone, introducing them both to anyone who walked by, trying to smooth talk anyone in a position of authority to give Shr'k more duties and leadership responsibilities.
Finally, Shr'k had enough of this, and wanted a fresh start for the both of them. He put in for a transfer to High Reaches, where he heard that they elected their leaders and having a specific color didn't necessarily denote one's leadership status. He and Donketh made the move in 2771.
Donketh was upset about the move, suddenly losing a lot of the status he had once enjoyed, but Shr'k was happier here. Slowly the two have reconciled their differences. The relationship is still rocky at times, but Shr'k has opened up more with Donketh. He still keeps others at a distance, but Donketh hopes that maybe with a bit of gentle pushing without the pressure of status, Shr'k might start opening up to others too.
