FULL APPEARANCE:
S'ophi is an average height woman with a bit of a thicker body shape, as baring three children have left many pounds on her that she could lose if she chose to but she is happy with her body as is so why would she? Her hair is cornsilk blonde, curly and falls to a few inches below her shoulders. She often keeps it in a high horsetail or a braid when she is not inside her weyr or off duty so that its not hindering her ability to perform. Her eyes are blue but on the more grey of the spectrum and while aging had been kind to her, she does have a few wrinkles on her forehead and the start of crows feet at the corner of her eyes.
She dresses sensibly, wearing darker colors that are not easily stained, as messes are the daily for a healer. When not in her healer's garb, she leans towards browns and grays, not wanting to spend her marks on the brighter colors. Her one exception is the single nice dress she owns that is in a royal blue color and cost her a great deal to purchase due to the dye being difficult to make.

S'ophi is often a very kind, caring and loyal person to her friends and her general demeanor is somewhat big sister or motherly and she often is avaliable if people need someone to vent to or just to listen to their problems. She enjoys reading, learning and taking what time she can to spend visiting her children. She has a great deal of patience and can endure what most might consider above average levels of stress with a smile and a cool head.
However, if you go beyond the surface, she can be very selfish and self centered when it comes to her own wants and has jealousy issues with friends doing things together and not including her. Her desperation to be included in things tends to bleed into her work and has caused more than its fair share of issues over the years, though she has learned to temper it a bit better as the years went by. Her own insecurities about herself and feeling very lonely even years after the death of her weyrmate have led to her engaging in some self destructive habits, namely in a very nasty drinking habit.
She is also extremely competitive and won't back down from a challenge issued to her, no matter how silly the task may seem and does not take it well when she loses, often pouting and name calling behind the other person's back, as its something that even age did not grow out of her with. Her lack of tact and sensitivity to the suffering of those not under her care or outside her social circle isn't something to be proud of but she fails to see the issue and believes she is too old to change who she is now for the benefit of another.

HISTORY:
Sophitia was born as the first child and only daughter to two riders and given to the creche to raise. She experienced a good relationship with her father but from a young age, she and her mother never really seen eye to eye, especially when she decided she wanted to become a dragon healer. Something about the creatures and being able to heal them appealed to her so when she was of age, she began her training. She continued until she made apprentice... but she became more keen on the idea of actually having a bonded and mulled over the idea of candidacy for a time. Eventually reasoning the change as a way to further her life experience and really loving dragons, she made the transition and entered candidacy.
Candidacy turned out to be a test of her ability to remain true to her determination as standing after standing was met with no impression. During this time, she continued to use the extra time to further her studies into Healer craft. At age 25, she stood her final time on the sands and the very last egg of the clutch that hatched into a beautiful blue that looked very much like a butterfly. The dragon gazed around before he almost bounced over to her and looked up into her eyes, color filling his gaze.
" Ahh there you are, Sophitia ! I have been waiting for you for ages!"
To say she was shocked and overwhelmed with emotion was a huge understatement. She picked her dragon up off the sands and took him to feed, her mind a whirlwind. She had expected today was going to be the day she walked away from candidacy, aged out and back to her healercraft full time. But now.. now she didn't have time for most of those studies, as raising a dragonet was a full time job. Once she graduated, she made the choice to join the Healer's wing.
During her first year in the wing, she met Sadarian and one whirlwind romance and a year later, they became weyrmates. Not long after that, Sophitia became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter she named Sada. While the child was given to the creche as she was, that did not stop her from being involved in her child's life, letting her know she was loved and cared for.
During her first few years in her wing, she kept her nose mostly out of things, choosing to instead focus on running rescue missions out to help the wounded. During this time period, she gave birth to her son Mero and like his sister, was given to the creche to raise, receiving no less attention than his elder sister did from their mother.
Stress was beginning to leave cracks in her body and mind, as her pregnancy with her son had been a lot harder on her than with her daughter. The increasing amount of workload she was taking on to try to ignore the troubling amount of distance between herself and her weyrmate were also doing her no favors. They seemed to hardly see one another and often were at odds when it came to the weyr politics, and all of this caused S'ophi to become a bit more distant and snappy with Sadarian.
The relationship woes became a state of going hot then cold and she began to question if they should just... quit while ahead as the children were bound to pick up on the energy. After one very long talk over night and laying everything on the table, they ended up locked in intimacy. A few weeks after, Sadarian's dragon flew too close to a mountain while burning thread and he was thrown from his brown's back and did not survive the impact and his dragon between after. The news crushed S'ophi and when she had to tell her daughter and son, they were crushed with her. Her eldest was thirteen at the time and understood enough to know how her mother was crushed and did what she could to be there for the woman.
A week after the news came, S'ophi found out she was pregnant once more, which turned out to be a daughter she named Mia. The pregnancy was hard and the labor nearly took her life, as both her age and her not taking as good care of herself as she should made her body even more stressed. But she survived and so did the baby. After she had recovered, she decided that perhaps a fresh start might be good for her family and made the move to High Reaches. Sada became a candidate not long after the move and she could not be prouder of her daughter, call it mother's bias but she thought her daughter always had the talent to be whatever she wanted to be.
Once she had recovered from the childbirth, she resumed her duties but decided to stay grounded for a time, and began to focus more on her Healercraft and finally at at age 46, she has reached Journeyman status. She has also has taken up more active roles in rescues and the healing of wounded dragons. Its been years and she is much older than she was when she met Sadarian, but should the right person come along.. she feels she is open to the idea of finding love once more.
