PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Kazimir has the patience of a saint and often is very adapt at keeping calm in the face of chaos. He enjoys keeping a journal and learning of all the flora and fauna he can during his free time. He tries to always be there for those that need a kind shoulder, a hug or just someone to vent at.
While he has a good bedside manner and is fairly adapt at soothing others, he is absolutely abysmal at self care and suffers for it when he fails in a task he is assigned because he stayed up too late trying to soothe this person, or too caught up in reading that he lost track of time and didn't get enough sleep. His tendency to do this has gotten him into many an awkward situation and well earned lectures on the responsibilities of being a rider and how he should be looking after himself more and put aside time to attend to his own bodily needs. This was also one of the reasons he ended up failing out of healer apprenticeship and it seems he never really took that lesson to heart, and still hyper fixates on tasks or being a people pleaser.
He also has no sense of standing up for himself and allows others to walk all over him like a doormat, having no desire to upset someone, even if he believes them to be wrong. He just wants to be friends with everyone, without accepting that its just not going to happen, no matter how much he tries to be the people pleaser. This was the main cause of him failing out, as he was not able to be firm and say no to someone because he wa more worried about upsetting them than doing what needed to be done.
He never sees himself worthy of praise and when its given to him due to his past failure and tends to flush brightly and shut down, unable to process how to respond to it. He enjoys writing and reading and anything about dragons he can get his hands on and while he was a candidate, he even asked for extra lessons so that he could further his knowledge and because learning pleases him and brings him a sense of purpose and peace.

BIRTHPLACE: Igen Weyr
HISTORY:
Kazi, born Kazimir, was the only child of a pair of Healer parents, born during the early fall of their tenth anniversary of marriage. His parents were a bit older than the average couple having their first child but none of that mattered to them. His childhood was fairly average, growing up content and happy as he could, with a great thirst for knowledge, the desire to help everyone he knew to be happy as much as he could. His desire to be a dragon rider came in his early teens, having watched the riders that came in and out of the weyr.
However, he originally began training as a healer apprentice as his parents encouraged him to do. However his tendency to such a pushover and people pleaser caused him a great deal of stress that ultimately led to him failing out of his apprenticeship. This was a blow to him, and a very harsh reality check that should have taught him a valuable lesson. The only take away he took from it however is that he was just not healer material. But, this did leave him a clear path to pursue his other dream and he did not hesitate, impulsively making the call to apply to candidacy as soon as he was able.
Bidding his parents farewell, he eagerly packed his things and his life as a dragon candidate began soon after. Years rolled by with no impression and Kazi began to wonder if he was going to age out. While it would be heart breaking, he was sure he could find something else to do with his life right?
But at twenty four, his waiting ended. A very odd looking green hatched that spring and after taking several long moments to stare at the candidate line, her eyes latched onto Kazimir and she plodded over to him and sat down in front of him. " You. Why are you hiding? Don't be a matryr and let others be looked at over you. Come now, your Morrigath is hungry." The green scolded, in a tone that reminded him of a a grandmotherly sort, though the harsh strictness in it also got his attention.
While he accepted his impression to his odd little green, he was still unsure if she was selling herself short but he was taught dragons knew what they wanted and needed and who was he to question her? Her odd mutation of a ceretop crest made some things a challenge, such as Kazi's ability to see over her larger head when learning to glide and later fly. It required a bit of finesse but the pair managed it, Morrigath was not bothered by it in the slightest and it was clear she was a smart lady, feeding off her rider's determination and the pair learned to work around it.
After they graduated, he was not sure if was not sure he wanted to stay in Igen or not, now that his options were a bit less limited by weyrlinghood and thus he was stalling slightly on what wing to join. But then his parents approached him and told him they were planning to move to High Reaches, deciding to relocate somewhere they might be able to assist. Deciding to go with them, he put in for a transfer and followed them to High Reaches weyr and joined himself to the healer wing. He knew he could not do the healer aspects within the wing but that didn't mean he and his dragon could not do the other important work that the non healers in the wing did. While the pair would get the occasional curious look due to Morrigath's odd headshape, he didn't mind it so much, as his dragon was just as capable as any other, even if a bit unique looking.
