Kiki keeps her hair short, but wears a red ribbon given to her by her mother. She dresses plainly, often wearing simple and plain dresses. She personally doesn’t see why she’d have to wear anything else, aside from Rider gear. She keeps herself reasonably tidy but will gladly get messy if it means she gets a job done right. She gets a little self conscious about her appearance when around other girls, however, and will sometimes try new styles they’re sporting. It never lasts long, though, as she finds it’s not for her or she just finds it uncomfortable.

Kiki works hard and commits when she decides what she wants to do. She cares a lot about the people around her, sometimes a bit too much. She worries herself with others problems too much at times, and can stress her out more than she should. But despite the drawbacks, she’ll never stop caring about those around her and will do what she can to help.
She finds it can be a little hard to make friends as she’s shy about opening up to others. But when she’s a friend, she’s a friend for life. She’s very loyal to those she loves and cares for, and will defend them with everything she’s got.
She’s a fairly simple girl. As such, Intra-weyr politics don’t interest her at all. She prefers to let people who want to handle that handle it. She knows how dragons work and she knows how Wings work. That’s the extent of her knowledge about politics and weyr management.

Kiki was and always has been a Weyrbrat. She grew up at Telgar, and had always wanted to fly on dragonback one day. She’d been on her father’s dragon a few times as she grew and she KNEW she wanted to be a dragonrider when she grew up. Her family was very close, and often had many happy memories together. Be it riding on her father’s brown during clear days, or spending days in the cool cellar where he mother worked, Kiki’s life was a peaceful one.
As she grew up, she considered an apprenticeship as a healer, and was encouraged to do so by her father. However, she was warned that doing an apprenticeship and a candidacy would be hard, and that was no shame in quitting one. Of course, she listened, and worked as hard as she could in both respects. She was sure she could manage both.
However, when she went to one of her first hatchings, she realized how wrong she was.
A green as lovely and as stunning as a meadow in spring had hatched and Impressed to her, nudging her and curling around her as if wanting to protect her. As Kiki fed Ghyblith her first scraps of meat, she knew that her life was going to be dedicated to keeping her safe and healthy.
She gave up healing as a craft, but threw herself wholeheartedly into dragoncare. While Ghyblith was big, and Kiki’s desire to fly was great, she knew she’d have to be patient. Her father was able to help make sure Kiki’s dragon was kept healthy as she grew, and taught her a few dragon health tips in addition to her already informative weyrling lessons.
Eventually, Kiki was given a choice: let Ghyblith chew firestone and remain at Telgar, or abstain and move to High Reaches to help clutch more eggs. Kiki had never thought that her dragon would have a choice in the matter, and consulted her dragon on the issue. Ghyblith wanted to be a mother and have some clutches, and frankly didn’t want to put herself or Kiki in harm’s way.
So by the time Kiki graduated, they’d decided that High Reaches was the place to be. Her family would miss her, but were excited that she was taking such a big deal so seriously. Her move to High Reaches at the tail end of 2768 was a bit bumpy, but she was certain that things would go well for her and Gyblith here.
