Juniper is a fairly tall young man standing at a respectable six foot even. His hair is a medium brown that has an attractively tousled appearance and bangs that fall between his eyes and swept back toward his ears. While he looks lean and fit, he’s not very strong and isn’t the best person to call for heavy lifting. He keeps his appearance neat and tidy, clothes included, even if they aren’t flashy.

Laid back to the extreme, Juniper is seemingly allergic to work and will go to great lengths to get out of it. Over the turns he's gotten good at hiding away to take a nap while his peers work. This has resulted in others thinking extremely unreliable, often not trusting him with important tasks that he is otherwise capable of. Despite his desire to while away the hours doing fun things, he's surprisingly easy to guilt into helping with something, especially by Junipesk. He does care about others, he just... hates working.

Juniper has a good heart and is always willing to comfort a friend, but he’s not that great at offering solutions. He’s far better at being a shoulder to cry on than a fix it guy and he’s just fine with that. If he can make someone’s day better, he’s happy. He gets along with just about everyone and it’s quite difficult to get on his bad side. You’d have to try pretty hard to get Juniper to hate you. He doesn’t have any lofty aspirations; he just wants to live a good life and make sure Junipesk is happy. To achieve this, he's always looking to try new things, food mostly but experiences too. He wants no regrets when he's old and grey so he'll try it all.

Born as a result of flightlust between two riders, Juniper wasn’t acquainted with his parents and never really felt the need to be. He was raised in the creche as children of his origin were, though he was close with his half siblings Yew and Aspen. He mucked around the weyr for much of his childhood, doing chores and trying to decide what to do with himself. He considered dragon candidacy, but his eyes had never been on the skies despite his parentage; the ground would do just fine.

Once he turned seventeen he officially became a wher candidate, happy to stand until he was blessed with his green Junipesk when he was nineteen. It was like a dream for him, this beautiful wher hatching for him, and they breezed through wherlinghood (mostly thanks to Junipesk's proding) with few problems. They joined a squad upon graduation as was the norm and were content for a while, but a desire for change came across himself and his brothers, and as such he and Junipesk transferred to High Reaches in early fall of 2770.

The change seemed to do wonders, as not too long after both Yew and Aspen Impressed much to Juniper's delight. The family really began to settle in to High Reaches and thrive in their new environment.

Junipesk is a green of slightly above size, well-built and muscular, with limbs that are ever so slightly on the longer side for a wher her size and wings that are just a touch stubbier than other whers. She's faster than one might expect on the ground, although she's not a good candidate for learning to glide. Junipesk's hide is a pleasant, dark forest green, accented with an underbelly and swirls of a lighter color. Her head has some markings of a brighter green that looks almost like a mask a traveling Harper might wear for a play at the Gather.

PERSONALITY:
Junipesk seems to have taken on a deep desire to work hard, though she does not work herself nearly as bad as some others, and is usually the one who tells her handler when to stop working and rest. If given the chance, Junipesk would rather be out running for fun than finding work to do - though it is usually hunting for her own enjoyment. It keeps her busy while her rider is working, and she does her best to not push them further. She honestly would rather be lazy, but she thinks that if she was lazy and her human did all the work, then she would look bad in comparison, and a little bit of pride never hurt anyone, or so she would tell herself over and over.

She secretly enjoys it when her rider has run themselves down and she has to dote on them a little. Sure, whers are not really built for doting, but she tries. She awkwardly tries to tuck them in, or climb into bed, depending on the day. She would be a good babysitter if she could be convinced it was hard work. If, that is. Let it never be said that she does not put in a hard days work, since what is most likely is that she will work far too hard.

VOICE: Junipesk is a surprisingly loud wher, not afraid to stick up for herself.
