FULL APPEARANCE:
Fenian is a tall, lean man with short, messy brown hair and blue eyes. His fingers are notably slender and what some may call "feminine," though calloused from instrument playing. With an average build rather than muscled or burly, he doesn't draw much attention to himself. He's rather pale and burns easily in the summer, which results in him wearing a lot of covering clothing in the sunnier months. His hair falls to roughly chin-length, tapering to his shoulders in the back, with a longer tail section in which extends down to his shoulders
Clothing-wise, he prefers looser-fit garments in lighter shades. Things that swoop or drape are a favourite, with especially loose-fitting items worn during leisure.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Fenian has a kind heart and a little bit of a quirky personality. His conversations can veer toward the strange and unusual, like what life might be like if he'd been born a firelizard instead of a human, or whether felines can talk to each other. Where is between? How come dragons have to bond to people but whers and firelizards don't? These questions and more can one find cropping up here and there--at least it doesn't come with non-stop talking to boot. In fact, he's rather quiet comparatively, it's just once he talks, he's got some "strange" things to say.
He has little consideration for personal space, often hovering over shoulders and heads whenever curiosity or interest strikes in something, or going so far as to push people out of the way to get to a place he can see at. There's also some trouble reading the room which can lead to misunderstandings and trouble with making jokes or comments at the wrong time.
Despite being generally laid back and wanting to avoid troublesome situations whenever possible, his reactions to danger can be extreme when dealing with it toward those he cares for--not beyond being ruthless or even cruel--and works very diligently when something needs to be taken care of. He has a hard time rejecting someone if they come to him for help, which can often lead to him having more work than he can handle. This said, he has the power to be cunning and shrewd with decision making, even if he wears his heart on his sleeve. He considers himself too soft-spoken and humble to be a leader, though shoulders blame with diligence. He avoids conflict whenever possible, preferring to be diplomatic, while at the same time tends to see how things unfold without planning ahead.

BIRTHPLACE: Telgar cothold
HISTORY:
Born to a pair of Holders near Telgar, Fenian grew up cared for by his parents alongside several siblings. Although they weren't well off, they were cared for as well as the group could be. He wanted for nothing that was important. Fascinated with instruments from a young age, he would always look forward to the local Harper's visits. As soon as he came of age, he began an apprenticeship under the Harper. Realizing that it wasn't all just playing instruments, however, he was quickly disappointed in the craft as a whole.
Instead of giving it up, though, he continued to pursue Harpercraft, learning the basics and instruments along the way. At eighteen he and his mentor travelled away from his home cothold and to Telgar Weyr, where Fenian encountered dragons for the first time. Immediately smitten with them, he requested to join the ranks of hopefuls for the next clutch on the sands.
Thus began Fenian's time as a Candidate at Telgar. At some point along the way, he bonds to a little firelizard he names Lyra, which he uses to communicate with his parents via letter.
For a little over a Turn and a half Fenian remained at Telgar, standing unsuccessfully at Hatchings and continuing his Harper training. Wanting a change in venue, he arranged for transfer to another Weyr--perhaps hoping the new location could inspire him in his craft... or give him more luck at Hatchings. Serapheth at Fort was still too intimidating, and the weather in Semaca, Igen, and Ista sounded horrible for varying reasons. Then Benden, which was way too traditional for his tastes, even if they had loosened up. High Reaches it was, even if there wasn't a Gold currently on the sands--or even intending to stay.
