FULL APPEARANCE:
Leo has a round face of which her hair falls in front of nearly all the time. Her face is quite feminine, with long eyelashes and heart-like shaped lips, while the rest of her body is broad-shouldered, strong, masculine-like. This is from years spent working, both to work out to bulk up, but also to be stronger and more effective in the mines of her hold. She never feels awkward with her appearance and is very confident with how she looks.
Leo loves leather jackets, having two that she wears constantly depending on the weather. One with fur insides for the colder weather and one that is much lighter for the hot weather. The rest of her look is completely up to the weather, but the jackets remain. She does not, however, ever wear dresses or skirts. They are impractical to her.

Leo is a determined girl who knows how to get things done. When a task is given to her, she knows how to get it done and won’t stop until it is. If it takes sneaking into somewhere to get information? She’ll do it, any means to get to an end. She is dedicated to her work and everyone should know that it comes first with her. Sometimes she overworks herself mainly because, once she starts, she doesn’t know when or even want to stop. Idle hands are the devil’s worship with this girl.
Leo herself is a very kind person, sweet and understanding, warm and approachable. She is strategic, she is smart, she’s charismatic and has a strong sense of character, things that she acquired through her father at a young age. She’s willing to be that person who stays up into the night to make sure that someone is okay, but at the same time, she’s willing to be the one to beat someone up ‘out back’ that’s been bullying her friends. She is very straightforward and sometimes all too predictable.
When stressed, Leo can be found studying and/or collecting rocks as they remind her of home. If not doing something rock based, she might be practicing her fighting moves. While she often talks about her father, one might notice that she doesn’t talk about her mother as often. This is not because she hates her mother or anything, in fact she loves her a lot, but the pain of leaving her behind is still a little sore.

Eleonore was the first and only child of the only healer in her small mining cothold. Her father was an ambitious miner that had met her mother on a trip to High Reaches where she was working originally. She fell in love with his charm and want to do more than mine until he croaked and, eventually, made her way back to the hold with him. It was true love for Leo’s parents, and she always dreamed of the having the same.
Her hold was somewhat more liberal with who did what, if women wanted to mine, they were allowed, as long as they pulled their own weight. Following her father into the mines from the youngest age she was allowed to, Leo’s greatest dream was to be just like him. Fearless, hard-working, strong, kind, a good person through and through, and the best miner she could ever imagine, she would become all this and more. He taught her the ropes, and she followed through. Day in, day out, her time was spent working alongside her father. She could ask for nothing better.
One day, Leo got sick. Bedridden with a cough that kept her up the whole night, there was no way she could go into the mines. Her father, however, could, and did, saying that he’d bring her back a nice rock for the collection she had been building over the past couple years. There was a collapse deep in the mines where her father was working with a few other miners. After a few days of searching, they knew that the group had lost their lives. Heartbroken, Leo took her time to go back into the mines. With her father gone, she had to work harder than she’d ever have to live up to his reputation, and she did.
Picking up where he left off, Leo lost herself in mining. She could name every type of rock or gem after taking a good look at it, and she was often always right. It was easy to her, but took its toll on her mother. Scared that she’d lose her daughter after losing her husband only a short while ago, she begged her daughter to switch career plans, become a healer like her instead. There was less danger involved, and she’d still be helping out everyone who worked in the mines. Leo turned her mother’s countless offers down every time. But, a part of Leo knew she was right, but she couldn’t let her mother know that. She was dedicated to following in her father’s footsteps.
Another collapse that, while not deadly, nearly took the lives of her and several of her friends, was what shook her out of that mentality. Mining was dangerous. It was far too dangerous, but being a healer was not for her, and it was too late anyway, she was too old to start in her mind. Another career path, perhaps, would do the trick, but not another craft. What else was there, candidacy? Yes, that could do the trick, but she’d have to go to a Weyr for that. Leaving her hold and mother behind was the hardest thing she’d ever done, but she had done it, moving to High Reaches at the soonest opportunity possible.
