Satoris is a young man of, as far as he believes, simple looks. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes, with fair skin free of any major blemishes or scars. His hair is kept short, best to make sure it doesn't get in the way of his work. His clothes are typically self-made but rather simple despite that--any more expensive or extravagant garments are sold for marks or traded to those who might desire them. As far as height goes, he's on the middle ground for Pernese assigned male at birth. His hands are nimble with long, thin fingers, which makes his work as a weaver much easier (or so he claims).

PERSONALITY:
This is a man who is what many others are not: calm, patient, and carrying a wisdom beyond his years. He possesses the ability to speak calmly even when upset, showing a great deal of inner control and patience. This can easily lead others to believe him to be cold or callous, even emotionless. Far from it; he simply keeps himself carefully controlled under pressure to avoid causing a greater issue. Satoris generally dislikes anything that disrupts the peace and typically makes every attempt to get to the heart of a matter to quickly resolve any problems which arise. He is almost always trying to avoid unnecessary conflict, especially in a world that has already been filled with much strife and suffering. Incredibly forgiving and able to lay aside grudges against others for his own inner peace, he may forgive someone of a transgression they do not deserve to be forgiven for for the sake of his own peace of mind.
Satoris tends to take things at face value and doesn't do well with jokes or pranks. He trusts others to be frank with him just as he is with them, which can lead to many issues in the long run. This bluntness only helps to reinforce the idea that he may be callous, as he won't sugarcoat things that need to be said for the sake of someone's feelings.

HISTORY:
Born at High Reaches to a pair of dragonriders, Satoris knew little of his parents, especially having been born during Golre's regime. His parents, as their only real big step in his life, see him transferred to Telgar to avoid the worst of the backlash from her tyranny, allowing him to grow up with a mostly normal life. With no siblings he knew of and not hearing from his parents again, he grew up in the creche of Telgar without much incident.
Although most of the children of the Weyr were able to enlist in Candidacy as soon as they were old enough, and many did, Satoris never felt the same pull that others did toward dragons or whers. Instead, he stayed with his chosen craft--weaving. Working hard, he made a small name for himself at a amongst the other crafters at Telgar, though he still doesn't walk the tables until nineteen. That suited him fine, as he wanted to do his very best and prove that he deserved the position of Journeyman.
After said grand event, he finally decided to return to the Weyr of his birth, purchasing a wool-bearing herdbeast along the way to supply his craft which he names Kelta. Still holding no interest in Standing or Bonding, he offered his services to the Weyr as a journeyman weaver, hoping to learn a bit more about his heritage and discover exactly what became of his parents.
