K'ymask has a strong jaw and incredibly defined cheekbones, tanned skin, and monolidded eyes. He seems a little emotionless, as he doesn't smile or frown without reason. However, when he does smile, it is bright like the sun and twice as pretty. His skin is practically free of blemishes or beauty marks, as he has no freckles and minimal scars to be found.
He often wears thicker clothing with long sleeves and rolls them up his arms to show off his muscles. He is not a fan of layers and, even in the Winter, he doesn't wear them. He just wears thicker and thicker shirts, only thinning it down as the weather gets warmer and warmer. He enjoys clothes the color purple or any shade of white to grey.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
K'ymask is just. He sees the world or what it is, he sees everything in black in white, in good or bad, into the little grey areas as well. Whatever goes will go, whatever happens will happen, and he is along for the ride. He does not aim to hurt, harm or maim, he personally would like to aid others in achieving what they want. But he does not pity others in the slightest. What comes to one comes for a reason. His perception can be manipulated, as even though he has a moral system as true and constant as the North Star, with a certain amount of subtle persuasion (and occasionally bribery), he can tilt his personal scales of good and bad to fit the scales. He is willing to grovel for others, he is willing to backstab, but he is also willing to care and flatter.
He is very cut and dry on his own, but easily molded into any situation one needs him to be in. He has a desperate inner need to be both wanted and needed and will change himself like a chameleon to fit the perception of him that someone wishes. Almost like tofu. Although, he never plays favorites himself. While people come and go, always changing, deep down, he is constant. Deep down, he is quiet and born of solitude. His dreams are not of consequence to the major plans of the world, yet still, he craves everything from others and will give everything that he is for them, a give and take relationship at its finest.
HISTORY
FAMILY: K'diai of Green Virosth (mother), T'ymask of Blue Raksoth (father), Journeyman Harper Tydiais (little brother)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Nope
BIRTHPLACE: Benden Weyr
HISTORY:
Kidiymask was the oldest child of two dragonriding parents. While his brother Tydiais was the more charismatic of the two and thought fit for dragonriding, Kidiym was always the one more thought poised to succeed in a craft. Somewhat detached from society by social means, it would have been nothing if he had been shipped off to become a scribecrafter. It was by fate that the two never followed up on what their childhood made them out to be. His brother had been picking up music from a local harpercrafter on a weekly basis and had left for Harper Hall when he could. This left Kidiym to be the one his parents pushed the prospect of candidacy onto.
He was prepared to age out. He had been a candidate on the Sands since his parents forced him onto them, for seven years he stood, for seven years he waited for an egg to favor him among all the others and bless him with a way to get away from the place he grew up in. He was 22 and it was 2765, the eggs that were on the sands did not seem to be perfectly normal. There was something... odd about the whole thing, why wasn't there a change in leadership? A flight? He didn't know. He couldn't complain, he just wanted the hatching to continue without problems and for him to hopefully walk away with a dragon of his own. He did, the final egg, a white dragon, Lothwyth. It had to be a white dragon. His parents were excited to a degree, but they were far less than thrilled. Why couldn't it have been something with more status? Despite this, he took the honorific K'ymask with pride, and he began planning his departure from Benden.
It took far too long. He stayed in Benden for much longer than he wanted until he heard the news that Wyzeth had broken free with her rider. It didn't take much for anyone to understand that Lothwyth's clutch's dam wasn't Nuuth, but Wyzeth. Later hearing that Semaca's latest cluch's dam was Nebulaeth, who was also one of Wyzeth's, K'ymask finally had a reason, a legitimate reason, to leave Benden for another weyr. Nebulaeth was Lothwyth's sister, they were siblings, they had a right to meet at least once, he said. He finally executed his departure and made it to Semaca, content with his choice of paths.
