PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Aegis ultimately believes in doing the right thing. He is admittedly an idealist, wanting a world where there is no fighting and there is a day where there is no Threadfall. He likes to be helpful around the weyr and, when he has free time, he is often doing extra chores or helping someone with their's. He believes that following rules are essential for the good of the weyr and follows all rules without hesitation. After all, rules are always in the right.
However, he is very harsh and untrusting towards people who he believe aren't helping as they should. He will admit he doesn't like them and even mentions that he thinks that the Lamentoso Squad is just full of low lives and potential thieves. He is also not fond towards the pirates, viewing them as a potential threat to the safety of the weyr. This can even extend to pirates who impress to dragons or whers. However, this also extends to people Aegis personally thinks isn't doing a good job at all or he doesn't personally agree with. He will be quite harsh towards them, often critiquing them openly. He rarely believes people can change for the better. He expects perfection, from not only himself, but from everyone else around him. He is a person who will tend to nitpick over even the tiniest details, even willing to go into lengthy discussions in order to fix what he thinks needs to be fixed. This tends to make things a bit of a hassle, as he will go out of his way to fix even the tiniest of errors. He also tends to take much longer than other people as he wants his work to be absolutely perfect. This also tends to make him feel more stressed due to him not wanting to be late for drills and the like. Aegis also tends to be serious for the most part, rarely laughing when being joked with. He only tends to laugh when he's alone with Imorth.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Small Cothold outside of Ista Hold
HISTORY:
Aegis grew up entranced with the stories told by the harpers as a child. His parents were farmers inside of their small cothold and, while Aegis aspired to become a dragonrider, he knew it was unlikely that he would be searched. Thus, he would help out on his parents' farm as he became older. It was hard work, but he was happy to work with his parents.
However, when he was sixteen turns, a riding pair arrived at their cothold. The teenager couldn't deny he felt jealous that someone would be searched, but, needless to say, he was shocked.. and excited that he was the person who would be searched. This was a dream come true for Aegis and he was excited to travel to Ista Weyr. He wanted to make his parents proud, so he chose to focus his studies as a candidate.
Eventually, two turns would have passed and Aegis, at the age of eighteen, would stand in the sands for the last time. A small blue hatchling, who held his head up with pride, approached him. Aegis, admittedly, felt overwhelmed, with Imorth being a very affectionate and, admittedly, vain dragon. However, they seemed to have a similar moral compass, something Aegis appreciated. Both of them wanted to do the right thing and were willing to do what accomplish their goal.
The two became an ideal team as they trained as weyrlings. However, as graduation approached, the two began to think that a change of location could be good for them. Ultimately, the two decided on Semaca Weyr. After all, it was a newer weyr and they wanted to help where they could. When the flood occurred, he went out of his way to help anyone he could in the weyr.
However, there were parts he certainly did not approve of. He really did not like the idea that the pirates chose to make their own hold. Along with this, he didn't like that they decided to trade with the weyr. However, when his words came upon deaf ears, he made it a point to keep a close eye on the pirates due to his own distrust of them.
