He looks rather spindly, with slender limbs and delicate fingers. The fact that he is quite tall only adds to the overall wiry look of him. Garment-wise, he wears clean and pressed clothing typical of his particular rank or class at any time, not so much taking vanity in his appearance but having been raised to believe that how he looks and behaves is very important. His clothing is always clean and well-mended, typically looking newer than it actually is thanks to the care he gives it.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Soft-spoken and thoughtful, Renarin's tendency to pause and consider responses before giving them can sometimes make others unfamiliar with his nature see him as calculating or unnerving. He is largely non-confrontational, attempting to avoid mockery by staying silent and tries to keep others, especially relatives, from starting fights. He suffers from lack of confidence, and wishes to prove his worth to everyone but himself. He may not have had his father's rank nor the pressure of a Hold-bred to maintian social rules, but knowing that he was his son still put self-imposed expectations on him that stick with him to this day.
While conversing, Renarin's train of thought can be difficult to follow, as he may often be considering something deeply but only mention small parts aloud.
Even with his subdued personality, he is courageous and desires to be useful, extending even to things he doesn't have experience or training in. As a result, he tends to ask a lot of questions, having a lot of knowledge of many things but not a particular specialization in anything. He values the lives of those he loves over his own and is wholly willing to put himself in danger to protect or help them.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: High Reaches Weyr
HISTORY: Warning: Death mention
Renarin was born the second son to his bronzerider father and weyrfolk mother. He was considered incredibly frail and a miracle for having survived his first Turn. Over time his health improved, but he never did bulk up. He lived in the shadow of his older brother, always bigger, always stronger. He wasn't resentful of him at all, especially considering that his brother was one of the few who understood him, but did develop a powerful lack of confidence, wanting to prove that he's as useful as his older sibling. He grew up under Golre with a staunch follower father who did not realize his bigotry until after Renarin's mother would fall to a raid on a Hold. She had travelled there to try and warn the residents, who had chosen not to believe her.
In the wake of his mother's death, as his rider father was far too busy to tend to his children, Renarin and his brother were placed into the Creche, though Renarin frequently visited his bereaved father when permitted to do so. He never really grew much closer to his father and his brother remained the one to understand him more than anyone, but he did come to respect him a bit more despite the low that he reached while grieving.
Despite his frailty, Renarin developed an interest in Smithcrafting, and though he would never apprentice in it he did learn quite a lot. In fact, he asked a lot of questions about a lot of crafts, but never actually pursued any before coming of age to stand at hatchings. Instead of remaining at High Reaches however, he would transfer away from his heritage Weyr to as soon as he was able. Although he wanted to be close to his family, he wanted to prove that he could stand on his own and prove his worth. He originally intends to return once he does, however the strained relationship between Fort and High Reaches may end up making his stay indefinite--especially if he Impresses. While upset, he maintains contact with his family--as innocently as possible, even if Semaca remains neutral in the conflict.
He was able to find a firelizard clutch and bond to a little red he named Glys, (like "glisten," so he claimed) shortly before he turned fifteen. He has been largely flying under the radar however possible at Semaca, working hard to prove that he deserves to be there. He initially found it hard to believe that High Reaches would steal eggs, but in the end realized he was not surprised.
