FULL APPEARANCE: An imposing woman, Cornelia carries herself proudly, as befits a noblewoman-turned-dragonrider. She keeps her wavy hair as immaculately as she did when she had a maid to do it for her, and dresses herself in elaborate, but still riding-suitable, outfits in red and white. She switched from dresses to tight blouses and pants early on, and is rarely found in dresses, even for Gathers. She enjoys wearing high-heeled white boots to put herself on a more even footing with her brothers. She usually has a stern expression on her face, and it only softens when she's alone with her dragon or sister Euphemia.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: In another world, Cornelia would have been the best strategist of her generation. Though overshadowed by her half-brothers, she's still a formidable opponent. She has that rare combination of instinct and forethought, able to adapt her meticulous plans as soon as conditions change. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty and is a merciless warrior. She fights for a larger cause; she's devoted to her father and her Weyr, and Faranth help those that endanger them. Absolutely determined to achieve her goals, she will stop at almost nothing. She does value the lives of her subordinates, and would rather make a reluctant retreat then waste their lives unnecessarily. Guiloth has made her more cautious, for she does not wish to risk her dragon more than she has to.
Cornelia does have a softer side; she dotes on her younger sister Euphemia, one of the only siblings she's still on good terms with. If any harm came to her, Cornelia would use any means at her disposal to kill those at fault. Though devoted to her duty, she misses simpler times, where the two of them were just sisters and there was no politics getting in the way. She has a complicated relationship with Lelou and Nunnally and regrets their banishment to High Reaches Weyr. While she views Lelou as an opponent, she also misses being his sister. It remains to be seen whether she'll let familial love get in the way of her duty.

HISTORY: Cornelia grew up as one of Lord Harel's older children. Her younger sister Euphemia was the light of her life, and to this day she will do anything for her. Marianne helped raise her, and Cornelia grew to idolize her in place of the mother she'd lost when she was young. She and her younger siblings were happy, for a time. Then the war took Marianne, and in a way, Lelou and Nunnally, too. Her father exiled them to High Reaches Weyr, and though the by-then-adult Cornelia saw the need, she mourned the necessity.
She visited Telgar Hold in the hope of a political marriage with a distant cousin of the heir, but before much negotiation happened, she was Searched, and decided to go with the dragonrider to Telgar Weyr. She had other siblings to make alliances. Shortly before her twenty-fifth Turn-day, she Impressed - not a gold as her father hoped, or a green, but a garnet, still a strange new color on Pern. Guiloth was a partner, a perfect complement to Cornelia's force of will, and Lord Harel took to his daughter's new position with surprising grace.
She graduated and took her place in the Telgar wings, but at her father's behest, she transferred to High Reaches to keep an eye on the now-adult Lelou.
UPDATES
- Winter 2765 - Cornelia transfers to Semaca, ostensibly to help boost their dragon population if Guiloth happens to clutch. Also, she considers it a nice vacation from Lelou and Suzaku. She's really fleeing Schneizel's leadership, but don't tell her that.
- Spring 2766 - Guiloth clutches, and her eggs become part of the Sol clutch. She adopts the Omega Strike egg, which hatches into blue-bronze Isith. Isith Impresses Lelou, much to Cornelia's disgust.
- Spring 2767 - Cornelia slightly strains her left elbow catching firestone sacks. When she lands, she is far more concerned about her sister Euphie, who cut her throat tripping over a knife.
