Clothing-wise, he tends to dress more fashionably, wearing finer clothes one might expect to see at a gather rather than casually around.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
This is not a man who at first glance comes off as anything in the way of friendly. From the way he carries himself to his resting expression, he looks, well... annoyed. Bitter, grumpy. And honestly, that's not too far from the truth. He's definitely a bitter and grumpy sort of person, serious and no-nonsense, with little tolerance for tomfoolery and jokes. Diluc is dedicated and works hard when he puts his mind to a task. He will often discard things he no longer needs, making his list of possessions very small and the man himself not particularly sentimental.
At the same time, he has a much different side he keeps to himself and those close to him. Caring and gentle, he is deep down a modest young man who is trying his hardest to make himself someone he thinks his parents would have been proud of. While the life of a rider isn't what they had originally planned, it was what became of him and what he must adjust to. While his relationship with his dragon was strained for much of their early Weyrlinghood, the two have become much closer and speak as friends, even if Diluc is oftentimes annoyed by said dragon's antics.
HISTORY

SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Igen cothold
HISTORY:
Diluc was born in a small hold beholden to Igen, his family a small but established group of vintners for several generations. For his entire life he was raised to help take over the family hold and see to its continued prosperity. As the second child to the pair, he wasn't the heir proper, but still received training should anything happen to his older sibling. Although his life didn't have grandeur or show, he was content to follow in his family's footsteps, including their quiet disdain for the tithe taken by dragonriders, believing it to be too steep for the protection offered.
One day while visiting the Weyr proper as part of a business meeting with a trader, the Weyr a midpoint for the two groups, the eggs from the latest clutch began hatching. Caught in the rush and actually somewhat curious, after all when would a small Hold family ever see a dragon hatching in their lives again?, he and his family joined the crowd.
Unfortunately, it would be this decision that would change the path of his life forever--in the form of a squalling young dragonet climbing frantically into the stands toward a confused and woefully untrained now-former-holder.
Initially, Diluc was resentful of his dragon for their Impression. As he saw it, despite the "honor," his life was completely up-ended and taken from him and he was thrown into a completely new and unfamiliar place. The strain was certainly not good for them, though with time the pair have become closer as a rider and dragon pair should. Weyrling training was rough to say the least, suddenly forced to work, really work, and take care of a dragon. Luckily, after a rough adjustment period, he took to it like a fish to water and the pair managed to actually graduate to full riders without an issue.
After graduation, at the behest (harassment) of his dragon, who wanted nothing more than to help the budding Weyr, he opted to transfer to Semaca, where he has been working since.
