FULL APPEARANCE:

Leona is a tall young man with an athletic build and fairly defined muscles. He has long, thick brown hair that falls past his shoulders, typically styled with a braid on each side of his face. He has bright green eyes and a thin scar over his left eye that runs from his eyebrow to his cheek. He likes to accessorize with beaded necklaces and bracelets in many colors as well as animal fangs. He prefers his clothing to be sleeveless and form fitting as often as possible.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:

Leona comes across as as stereotypical jock. He’s cool and charismatic and seems to value physical prowess over intelligent pursuits. He puts little effort into activities that don’t interest him, especially his studies. While highly intelligent, he only does the bare minimum to pass. He’s known for slacking off and treats napping like an Olympic event. However, he’s fiercely competitive and can be motivated to put in maximum effort when he feels he has something to prove. He acts in front of his peers and treats everyone as an equal regardless of status.

Leona constantly feels weighed down by the constant comparisons to his brother and resents him for it despite Farena only ever pushing him to live up to his potential. Leona is well aware of his potential, but his subconscious fear of failure causes him to underperform and generally avoid situations where he could be seen as inferior. He’s secretly fond of his nephew, however, even if he acts like having the little one around is a massive annoyance.

HISTORY:

Born to the lord and lady of a minor hold, Leona was second to his brother from the moment he entered the world. While Farena adored his little brother, it seemed like Leona could never catch up to him. Anything he could do, Farena could do better, much to his eternal frustration. He was constantly being compared to his brother, even by their parents, and he hated it. He was nitpicked at for even the smallest things and nothing he did seemed to be enough. He was able to make some friends among the hold children, but they put him on a pedestal due to his birth, always letting him win games and letting him go first in everything when all he wanted was to be treated like an equal.

Farena's marriage and the subsequent birth of his nephew didn't help things and Leona felt the shadow over him grow. Feeling frustrated and wanting a change, he decided to leave the hold. Wanting to get as far away from his brother’s shadow as possible, Leona secured passage to Semaca Weyr and applied for candidacy, learning very quickly that his slacking wasn't going to earn him any favors. Hopefully this wouldn't be a terrible decision...

FULL APPEARANCE:
Jeroth looks like a normal garnet right up until he tells you otherwise. He is male, and can sire clutches like any brown could. He is a strong dragon, steady on his feet and on the large end for his color. He has broad wings, and strong hindquarters. He is a dusty rose color all over, with the top of him a lighter sort of rosy quartz pink. He has bold, reddish-pink markings that spread over his eyes and head, to long patterns down his entire body like those of venomous tunnelsnakes. He is quite proud of his markings, finding them to be a sign of how strong he is.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Ambitious and trustworthy, Jeroth is a very friendly and community-focused dragon. He desires a world where his friends and family are safe, and he will do what he must to make it so. He has pride, and dignity in his color, and will always put other garnets first. He is happy to help where he can, even if it's rooting through mud for a specific bug, or flying around with heavy loads, so long as it will help make the Weyr stronger and a better place, he is first in line. He takes vows and loyalty very seriously, and betrayals are met with tooth and claw, and there are very few second chances with him. He is more than willing to help with weyrlings and children, happy to settle down and let them climb on him or tug on his tail. He knows when to be gentle, and there is a time and place for everything.

To his rider, Jeroth is a kind and caring dragon, even if he is dragging them out to the healer's gardens to pick weeds at the crack of dawn. Sure, his partner comes first, but if he can help, he'll help. He's happy to give them an extra hand, or give them space, he's not clingy in the slightest. As hardworking as he is, he does like a good lazy day sprawled out on his ledge sunning himself. He knows when to take a break, and he knows when to tell others to take a break too. Work and play in equal measure, and he likes to keep that balance.

Voice: Friendly, like an older sibling, Jeroth is very casual in how he speaks, rarely speaking in any kind of dignified fashion. He picks up slang very quickly.

Why Me?: Jeroth is going to drag Leona into activities that don't interest him, and he is gonna make sure the two of them learn and grow together. It'll be good, I promise!
