FULL APPEARANCE:
Zhongli can be considered a reasonably attractive man with a youthful face, sporting long dark brown hair which falls just past his waist and bright amber eyes. He dresses in his gather best on most occasions when not wearing his riding leathers, and has his left earlobe pierced. Of all colours, he prefers to wear shades of brown. Height-wise, he falls to the more average for Pernese men, with a lean muscled build.

PERSONALITY:
A generally calm and reserved individual, Zhongli has a very calm, passive way of his voice that has been noted as relaxing to some. Most notably, he is very polite and humble, but he can be particularly formal in his word choice and manner of speaking if he isn't paying attention. Helpful and rather determined, he sometimes volunteers his free time to teach the less-educated members of the Weyr to read and write should they desire it. Zhongli is wholly accepting of others regardless of their life choices or assigned-at-birth designations, and will overall give someone the benefit of the doubt in most situations unless given a reason not to.
On the other side of things, Zhongli is very gullible. He trusts too easily, even those he has just met, and takes things at face value. He also has a terrible sense when it comes to money or finances; he will often overpay or overspend for things simply because he doesn't know how to haggle. He will trust the shop owner when they say something is a good deal and pay "sticker price" for something. This often results in him being scammed out of his marks or receiving nothing for his hard work.

HISTORY:
Zhongli was born in a union between a rider and weyrfolk, a rather loving relationship despite the busy nature of a rider's life. Although he was raised in the creche, both parents were frequent visitors. Overall, his childhood was rather boring and average, with no real bumps or bruises. As soon as he was old enough, he apprenticed as a Harper, having a fondness for history and tales. His dream, however, was to be a dragonrider--like his mother, so as soon as that milestone was met he would approach the Candidatemaster with the request to join the ranks of Candidates at Telgar.
It would take a few Turns, through which he would gain some further experience as a Harper but predominately work hard as a Candidate, at eighteen he would Impress to a lovely bronze named Azhdahath. Although the dragon was not exactly what he expected, surly and almost cold (his mother's dragon had been friendly and kind toward him his entire life), he did not regret his choice to Stand. The pair spent Weyrlinghood learning to get along and growing together, becoming quite close despite the bronze's penchant for being particularly distant. Upon graduation, they requested to join the Healer's Wing, wishing to use their size--as Azhdahath--and strong stomachs to help despite their lack of Healer education.
Although they fit well with Telgar and spend nearly ten Turns living in relative peace and quiet (Threadfall aside), the pair decided to move to Semaca and assist the rapidly-growing Weyr, especially as news of various attacks and tragedies reached the rest of Pern. It took some Turns to finally arrange for transfer, thanks in part to being injured by a panicked dragon wounded in Threadfall (giving Zhongli a concussion and nearly fracturing Azhdahath's wing), but the pair ultimately arrived at Semaca's door.
