FULL APPEARANCE:
J'velle is beautiful. While makeup and a good skin care regimen have helped her face stay (mostly) free of wrinkles, her hair has fully betrayed her. Once black, each strand of her long hair has greyed. Her wardrobe has reflected this change, with black clothes slowly being accompanied by white dresses. She sticks with her darker clothes while on the clock, but when she has some free time? You can be sure she'll enjoy the Semacan sun in a nice white Summer dress.
J'velle is dainty, but not small. Well, okay, she is on the shorter side of the Pernese at 5'6", but she isn't stick thin. J'velle is fit from her early years of working on farms, followed by frequent workouts during candidacy, and her build is now maintained by training with her wing. She is grateful that she has always had a feminine face and build, and makes sure to accentuate her features with a bit of makeup here and there. She has a scar on her right cheekbone going over to her nose that she got when she was younger.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
J'velle is a healer, through and through. She is devoted to her craft above all else, and wants to make others' lives healthier and easier whenever possible- in terms of her craft, of course. In times of crisis, she prefers pragmatic solutions that are done quickly and with confidence. When there is conflict, she would prefer it resolved peacefully. In fact, she deeply disapproves of indiscriminate violence, knowing it solves nothing in the end. She is deeply sympathetic towards others. Overall, J'velle solves practical problems and stays uninvolved in the non-healing-related problems of others.
She is independent, headstrong, and introspective. She is very hesitant to talk about herself or her past, being a very guarded and reserved individual. Although, she is becoming more open and honest with herself and others as of late. She believes that there is a path that she needs to follow in life, a set of rules, goals, and standards that she desperately needs to meet. If thrown off the path, she will be visibly shaken until she is back on track. She doubts herself constantly, and the doubting little voice inside her head sounds suspiciously like her adoptive mother. She is not above doing bad things to achieve her goals. If some slimy, underhanded actions would put her in a better position within her healing career, well then by Faranth that's just what she'll do. In fact, in any aspect of her life, if a morally incorrect action would benefit her? She'd do it without hesitation, guilt, or remorse. 'Do no harm' is just a suggestion to J'velle.
J'velle is fond of flowers and animals. She does not shy away from dark humor and can be rather sarcastic and funny when given the chance.

HISTORY:
Jenevelle was the only child born to two farmers. Born a male, Jen started presenting as female from as early as she could grasp what gender was. Her transition was swift, and most people at her hold could hardly remember her being anything other than a woman. Her early childhood was blissful, and both her parents happily taught her simple things that she could do around the farm even at her young age.
Of course, nothing is ever meant to last. The family went traveling to see Jen's grandmother at a nearby cothold, but a wild wher would have other plans. It separated the small family, chasing after her parents (more meat... yummy...) and ignoring the young girl as she ran as far and as fast as she could in the other direction. Unfortunately, she had no idea where she was now, outside of her being at a crossroads. She was lost and was going to stay put until her parents came and found her.
Someone else found her first. A woman named Viconia found her. She tried to figure out where Jen was from to return her, but Jen was so young and so in shock that her frazzled mind couldn't spit out the answers. Viconia, figuring that it was better to bring the girl back with her so she was safely led Jen to Shar hold.
Jen's parents, despite looking endlessly for her, did not check Shar hold because of a long-standing rivalry between the two's holders. Thus, they thought they had lost their daughter forever. Jen, on the other hand, had been growing up gracefully. No longer would she spend her days farming. Viconia began teaching Jenevelle the ways of Healercraft, with Jen becoming an informal apprentice. She was not the best teacher- not in her ability to transfer knowledge, no, she was great in that aspect. She was just a mean old woman who was always unkind when Jen didn't fully understand something.
Jen was grateful to escape her adoptive mother's ire when was searched at 15 and brought to Telgar. It would take her 10 turns to Impress, 10 long turns at which she managed to formalize and finish her healer training to become a Journeyman Healer. When she finally Impressed during the final year of her candidacy, it was to a purple garnet named Selulath. Jenevelle became J'velle, and has taken her place in a Healer's wing ever since.
While she spent most of her time in Telgar, facing the trials and tribulations that came with the passing turns, J'velle was getting tired of the repetitive nature of it all. It was fine, she assumed these feelings had to come along with the melting candles of time. But, she wanted to fix them and enjoy life. It took a while, but when the flooding happened in Semaca, J'velle knew it was time to enact her change.
J'velle knew she couldn't contribute too much to Chopin, maybe Selulath could, but not her. So, she transferred to the Semacan Healer's wing. If not manual labor, at the least she could provide medical aid. Since transferring, J'velle has had her work cut out for her, what with the spotty attacks devastating the weyr not once but twice. She is fearful for a third time and hopes that the new Semacan leadership will do something about these dreadful creatures.
