Tetra has tanned skin from being out in the sun for a long period of time, and likewise has those lighter dots of skin that come with excessive exposure to sun smattered across her skin. She also has a couple scars here and there from mishaps while working. She's got a nice build, has a lot of muscles from working on the ship and the like.
She has long, long hair, but it's always in a bun with a braid around it to secure it. There's always some sort of brain in her hair regardless of how she styles it. She wears clothes that are easy to move in, but she always wears her blue vest. She also wears a blue gem tied very tightly onto a string, it used to be in a much nicer necklace of her mom's. Now, it's only the gem that's left.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Tetra is bossy, sassy, sarcastic, and strong willed, and is unabashedly so. One might call her tomboyish, or a jock, and that's very true! She will take no shit, and will fight for what she believes in... if it conveniences her. She may come off cold hearted, or seem like she's only in something for the treasure at the end, and she is... to a degree. She can care, she has the capacity to care. She has a big heart deep down, and when shit hits the fan and the people she cares about are in danger, she becomes very self sacrificing and reckless. Tetra is very loyal to the people she knows that she can trust, otherwise? She'd stab you in the back.
He has a wisdom and intelligence to her that doesn't seem to click with the rest of her being, but that's because this outgoing, extravertedness came only recently to her. She can flip back to the prim and proper personality she used back in her home hold on a dime if needed, and there is a frightening difference between the two. She'd rather be on the sea 24/7 than be in some stuffy weyr, hold, or cothold.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Holder Nohansen (father, deceased), Zelda (mother, deceased)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: A minor hold near Tillek Hold
HISTORY: [tw death, abuse]
Tetra's birth was wrought with sadness. As happy as her father was with her birth, he was equally sad, as his wife, and Tetra's mother, Zelda, died in child birth. Nohansen, her father, was in charge of the hold. The hold was close to the water, and had a path to a dock that Tetra often spent a lot of her free time at. Many fishermen resided at the hold, so she grew up learning the way of the sea alongside her other teachings. She loved the water, and tried to spend a lot of time near it when she could. She found a firelizard egg there when she was 11 and she bolted back to her home, where it hatched, revealing a gold flit. She named her Goddess.
She was raised to be prim and proper, the future leader of their hold. Her father was tough on her, and thought that doing that would make her a better leader than he ever was. Because of this, she had less of a childhood and more of a constant lecture. That lead to a lot of tension in their household, and she hated it. Felt like she couldn't breathe without being yelled at for doing it the wrong way. They were a time bomb set to go off.
One day, she exploded. Or, he did. She couldn't remember. She just remembers it being bad, and someone had thrown a chair. She stormed out, and had no plans to return regardless of what her father said or did. Of course, the question of where would she go came up in her head. Another hold? A weyr?
The first thing she did was go down to the docks, planning to sit and clear her head, find out a plan. Her plan was ruined, however, when she saw a ship docked where she had planned to sit. When she had gotten close enough to the ship, she struck up a conversation with one of the crewmates who was on the dock, Niko. She later learned that he was the lowest-ranking member of the ship, and definitely not the smartest. As they talked, Niko mindlessly rambled out enough information about what they were doing to her that she realized that these were not fishermen, but pirates. A voice in the back of her head told her that she should go back to the hold, but a louder voice said to join them. They could take her anywhere, and anywhere wasn't some hold that tried to make her something she honestly didn't want to be. She joined them, struck up a deal with them to work on the ship, and left.
She got into the job very quickly, and started loosening up personality-wise. She became her own person, and that felt great. She enjoys being a pirate way more than being someone living in a hold, it's more freeing in a way? Makes you feel like you can do whatever you want, more or less, and she enjoys the work. Her ship is currently at Semaca. She's seen the destruction that the floods brought, and maybe her heart is a little too soft for it all... but, you know. RIP, that's what you get for being in a weyr. Open your purses, give her your money.
