FULL APPEARANCE: Ereznel is a tall boy with a slender body. He is strong but at first glance, you would not be able to tell due to his frame. As someone who prides themselves in their cleanliness, he keeps his nails trimmed, is never seen with a beard, and his hair is always organized. His hair is a beautiful shiny deep mahogany, cutting it short when it reaches his shoulders. When the light hits just right, his eyes turn a pretty dark honey color.
As someone who prefers a balance between style and functionality, he can be seen wearing simple comfy clothing with a leather jacket or simply a tunic of any color, ALWAYS down to his hips. His boots are worn but work just fine for him.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Ereznel is sure of himself and willing to do what it takes to achieve his goals. It doesn't matter whether that goal is getting a better roommate or fighting thread. Ereznel always thinks he knows best and is willing to cross a few lines to get where he wants to be. When it comes to personal gain or the protection of himself or others, he will lie, cheat and put on a facade to get what he wants if necessary. Because he doesn't like to think of himself as a liar- a hero shouldn't be a liar- he'll usually tell the truth after the fact, when it's too late for anyone to stop him, even if the only person it makes feel better is himself. Ereznel fancies himself a hero but also craves a comfortable life. His goals range from very petty to fairly noble. Though... he is a person who keeps grudges and does not let them go for a long time. He will actively search for ways to get revenge on his perceived and will go out of his way to get satisfaction from it, whether it is a small prank or a larger scheme to ruin someone's day.
Erezenel is confident, but introverted. He can come off as shy to others as he prefers to keep to himself among strangers. He has a good heart and once befriended, will use his wiles in an attempt to secure their happiness alongside his own. Ereznel believes everyone has a responsibility to take care of each other through their actions and is sometimes disappointed when his friends won't go as far for him as they would if their positions were reversed.
Ereznel can be a bit self-centered, however, and struggles to empathize with his friends when their feelings don't align with his. When Ereznel is happy, he thinks all his friends should be happy too and tries to spread the good cheer around, even if it means minimizing other people's problems. When he's sad or angry, his companions should mourn or rage alongside him, no matter what may be going on in their own lives.

HISTORY: Born to Larama and Falgan, he had a very happy childhood with his much older brother, Tanu. Although throughout his life he has adored dragons and idolized their riders, they helped others, something he loved. Tanu, his older brother, was 11 years older, when Ereznel turned 6 dragonriders arrived at their hold and Tanu presented himself to them. His parents were not keen on this happening. His brother was chosen and taken away to Igen Weyr. He then impressed a Green. His whole family missed his brother and almost mourned having a son taken away from them but Ereznel was fascinated and always admired his older brother for having a dragon!
Growing up, he received regular letters from Tanu, but as the years passed the probability of receiving one was very low. Since he was a small child Ereznel was filled with lots of energy, it was a hard job keeping him under control, his parents put him to work by running errands for everyone at the hold and when riders came on Search he marveled over them from a distance as he was always too busy to admire them from close. At the age of 12, a rider came to their house. Expecting Tanu, it was an older rider who claimed to be a friend of his. He delivered the terrible news of Tanu's death during threadfall. The rider and dragon disappeared between after panicking and trying to get out of the situation, but during the confusion, it seemed that the green was never given a clear place to go between and disappeared out of existence. Ereznel took this news like a punch to the gut, he refused to eat, drink or go out of the house. He was sickened and would not speak to anyone. His role model, his best friend, and his brother. Gone forever, and he never was able to tell him he was proud of him.
Traumatized by the event, he vowed to never speak to dragonkind ever again, he blamed other riders for Tanu's death but deep down knew it wasn't their fault. His parents blamed the Weyr and indoctrinated him to do so as well. For years he hated all the Weyrs and wouldn't go near anyone associated with them. Until at the age of 16, thread fell near his hold. He watched the dragons swoop in the distance, fantastic fire scorching Thread into black char. It stirred the old wonder and admiration for them. He remembered his dead brother, and how he risked his life for others. For years he waited patiently and hopefully, that he may honor his brother's memory and contribute to helping others as he did. Soon after his 19th turn, Dragonriders came to his hold and presented himself as a candidate. Against his parent's wishes, the riders chose him and took him to Igen Weyr. From there he was soon after transferred to Semanca Weyr, in the hope that he would impress a dragon, and become a fabled rider and the hero he always wanted to be.
