Being the shortest in her family, Amara often has a happy and warm smile on her face. She has moderate wrinkles due to her older age. She tends to keep her very long brown hair back in a braid that is often over her shoulder. She has a fondness of flowers and will tend to interweave her hair with them if she has any available. She tends to wear warmer colored clothes and had a curvy, slightly overweight body. She has warm brown eyes.

Amara is a very friendly and kind hearted woman. She is often seen with a wide smile on her face and a happy, warm look in her eyes. However, she is admittedly too optimistic. She believes nothing bad can ever go wrong and it seems like she doesn't really pay attention to current events. Because of this, she can be quite oblivious at times, often appearing lost in her own head or in what she's currently working on. She is very devoted to her craft, often humming happily as she weaves and creates clothing to sell.
She is also fiercely protective. She would be willing to fight Thread, even though she does not have a dragon or a wher, if it would protect her children or her partner. This is also true for any close friends she has. She wants to keep those people safe and will go out of her way to try and make them happy. She also tends to baby those younger than her. She will often make them treats or be very kind to them. She does not tend to notice if she acts smothering towards people, though. She has a love for cooking as well.

HISTORY:
Amara lived a simple life. She had lived in Igen Hold her entire life and was not interested in becoming a dragonrider or a wherhandler at any point of her life. Even as a child, while her friends would dream and run around, pretending to go on adventures with their own, albeit imaginary, dragons and whers, she just cheered them on. Her parents were both weavers and, even at a young age, Amara wanted to be just like them. She and her older sister were both trained as soon as they were able to.
However, close to her older sister's fourteenth birthday, a man had come to town with a dragon. When he saw the girls, his dragon mentioned that the older one would make for a fitting dragonrider. Her sister was thrilled to bits, running off to tell their parents immediately. Amara was delighted for her, but when something similar happened to her when she was sixteen, she chose to reject the offer. Her thought process was that she was already hard at work becoming a journeyman. Why would she delay her studies and possibly end them if she actually did impress a dragon? A lot of her friends thought she was weird. However, there was a guy who agreed with her.
His name was Zigor and he was training hard to become a healer. He had not believed he would ever be searched and honestly, he was fine with that. The two became quick friends, spending their free time together often and laughing as they told each other stories about what they had learned during their apprenticeships. Eventually, these feelings blossomed to romantic emotions as Zigor one day asked for her to stay with him as his partner. She said yes almost immediately, having fond memories for him. The two even felt comfortable staying in their hold, deciding they would base their future lives there.
The day Amara became a journeyman weaver was one of the greatest moments for her. However, in three years time, she was blessed with an even greater moment: the birth of her and Zigor's first daughter. Lovingly, she was named Anamarie, with Amara not continuing her studies to become a master weaver. However, she encouraged Zigor to continue his studies. After all, he had told her once his dream was to become a master healer.
Their family slowly grew over time, with them having three kids total before Anamarie was fifteen. However, Amara was expecting another child, beaming with happiness as Anamarie was searched. It had been the young girl's dream and Bernado mentioned how jealous he was of her. However, about a year later, he was searched, being excited.
Eventually, Amara had a pair of twins, Damario and Ercilia, and one last child in a son she named Florencio. Zigor and she agreed that their family was perfect. Bernado and Consolacion had been searched and they knew they were happy for their children. Admittedly, Amara wanted to cry when both Damario and Ercilia were searched the following year. However, she was proud of all of her children. They would lead the lives they always wanted.
Eventually, Florencio was also searched, leaving their home feeling empty. Even if their kids would write them letters, it just felt lonely for Amara. Zigor noticed his wife's sadness and mentioned moving to a weyr so they could be with their kids more often. Amara, even though she had lived in Igen Hold her entire life, agreed with him and they eventually decided to move to Semaca Weyr, where Damario and Ercilia now lived. It was a smaller weyr as well, something that could feel more comfortable for the two.
In the late summer of 2772, they arrived in the weyr, happily reuniting with the twins and Ercilia's bright pink wher. Amara still missed the rest of her children, but there was always a chance they could move to Semaca Weyr, she thought quietly to herself.
