FULL APPEARANCE: Though fairly short, at 5'4", nothing about Tempest's build immediately screams 'willowy' or 'weak'. She has an athletic build, not being overwhelmingly curvy or muscular, but decently toned. Her eyes are bright blue, standing out against her skin, sporting a healthy tan. She keeps her dark brown hair long, and wavy. Her expressions are often sour, and serious. Her style of clothing is often practical, but light; wearing leathers, more often than not, for optimal practicality.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Cold, callous and calculated, Tempest is almost certainly not a nice person. She is very serious and soldierly, and doesn't take any shit from anyone; on top of that, she is confrontational and hates waiting around for an answer. She doesn't take kindly to people messing around, or dancing around the point. She is impatient, and has an incredibly short fuse - and if there's anything she hates, it's a time waster. That said, she is intelligent and strategic; able to figure out the exact method to get what she wants. As soon as people get on her nerves, she gets short and snippy; she doesn't hesitate to be rude to people if she feels like they're wasting her time. She is ambitious, driven, and focused; but on top of that, she isn't above manipulating people, especially if she feels like they're hiding something - resorting to guilt tripping, threats and intimidation in extreme scenarios. She'll do anything, within reasonable limits, to get where she needs to be. However, she can be a little hypocritical in that regard, as she is incredibly closed off and doesn't really tell people anything about herself, until she trusts them - and it takes her a long time, and for the other person to seriously prove themself, to get to that point.

Though she is firm and snappy, Tempest isn't heartless. Though she doesn't have a problem with manipulating people, or the shady dealings of piracy, she does have standards; she's pretty quick to call people out on their bullshit, and isn't fond of people who deliberately target people who are significantly weaker than them. Notably, she is rigid and domineering, but significantly gentler to those who seem genuinely innocent. Even though for the most part, she keeps allies rather than friends; there is a chance that somebody could earn her genuine compassion. And to those people, she is incredibly loyal. She can put on a diplomatic face if she needs to in order to further her goals, but even then, she almost certainly has a soft side, even if she would never admit it - namely because she refuses to show any sort of affection or emotion in public, born from the fear that people may see her as 'weak' for doing so. She doesn't like to play by other people's rules, and doesn't like being told what to do - she sticks firmly to her own moral code.

HISTORY
FAMILY:
Mother - Mizelda
Father - Ledam
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Ista Hold
HISTORY:
CW: parental pressure, toxic family dynamics.
Born at Ista Seahold, Amizelle's childhood was heavily defined by rules and expectations. Though her parents were simply workers on the hold, with no craft qualifications to their name, they almost certainly wished to live vicariously through their daughter. They desired her to one day become a rider, to experience the opportunities they didn't get to. They were never even Searched, but they were adamant that their daughter would be; and thus, they had extremely high standards when it came to behaviour. She had to be on point at all times, and she was having none of it. To say she was rebellious was an understatement; she wanted to play by her own rules, nobody else's. The majority of her childhood was like this, with the expectations from her parents only getting stricter and stricter. She had ambitions, and they almost certainly did not align with those of her family; and from what she knew of Candidacy, it just wasn't her thing. Sure, dragons were cool, and she didn't hardly have an issue with hard work and duty by itself - but to her, Candidacy sounded worse than just 'hard work', it sounded belittling, and she hated the thought of being put in that position.

At the age of eighteen, she'd had enough, and left home; a trader ship was docked at Ista Seahold, and she saw an opportunity and took it. She claimed interest in learning their trade, and they took her aboard. Three turns passed, and she found this life already better than what her parents wanted from her; yet, she definitely still wanted more. That said, some members of the trader crew weren't fond of her attitude, starting to grow annoyed with her sass and short fuse. The trader ship was eventually raided by pirates; her first real interaction with them, and upon realising what it was they did in comparison to the regular traders, she realised that this, actually, was something she desired to do - they saw that she had experience from trading, and were intrigued in having her aboard. She had no qualms with their shady dealings, their questionable morals, and their less-than-reputable trade. She bid a cruel farewell to her old trader ship, took up a nickname, and started a new life asea with the pirates.

Life as a pirate, as hard work it was - was exhilarating. No bounds to hold her down, no watching eyes of authorities, the thrill of crime. Some turns down the line, the captain had established a trade route with Semaca, and a pirate hold started to be established; though she enjoyed the thrill of the seas, from what she knew about Semaca she was greatly intrigued. She wasn't quite sure about the pirates almost becoming a part of the Weyr, but considering they weren't immediately shunned by the authorities, that had to be a good sign that maybe Semaca was alright. After all, Semaca didn't know how the pirates obtained their supplies from the Northern Continent, but they were indeed supplies that they needed. Upon the establishment of the pirate hold, she somewhat settled; still working to travel north with the pirates and gather supplies for Semaca, but at the very least having somewhere to call a 'home'. Even then, though many of the other pirates wanted to, she still held no desire to Impress a dragon.
