Alerae loved any excuse to dress up fancy, so when her new wingleader told them they were having a party for the wing, she was excited. While Z'osh led the wing, she had figured it was best to keep her head down and do as she told. Being hold-bred, she was more on the Traditional side, but not enough of a fanatic about it to publicly support the Traditionalist faction. Sy'rei seemed to have a vastly different idea of how to run a wing, and Alerae was still happy to follow her.
Why you insist on this silly affair instead of tending to your duty is beyond me Willomath told her with a huff.
"Quiet, darling, and let me be pretty for once." she replied, unfazed, as she looked through her meager closet for something suitable. Finally deciding, she dressed quickly and styled her hair in a semi-elaborate braid. Some riders kept their hair short, but she was very much against losing her long, black tresses.
Deeming herself ready, she went to Willomath, who had moved to the ledge and waited for her rider to mount. Come along then she said with a sigh.
Alerae went to mount her dragon, then exclaimed in dismay. Her lovely dress would not allow her sit astride without showing a scandalous(to her) amount of leg, and she didn't particularly want to walk to the lake. Willomath huffed and shook her head. "Try and fly carefully" Alerae said after a momentary pause to think. "I'll try sitting to the side." She could still strap herself in. Mostly. She clambered up and settled herself as carefully as she could on the ridges of Willomath's back. "Alright, I'm ready."
Willomath dropped off the ledge and snapped her wings open, almost unseating her poor rider. Alerae smacked the Green's shoulder in annoyance and rolled her eyes.
The flight was short and Willomath was more careful with her landing to not jostle Alerae.
"Hello Wingleader, and Lana." She greeted the two as she arrived.
A greeting to you Asrakaerth and Kintokith Willomath said to the dragons simultaneously.
