While Tuckal was resting in her own private bath as the sun started to set, Serapheth was going to do the same. The small gold flared her wings, splashing the water around her as she landed in the lake to soak and clean herself off. There was hardly dust or dirt on her, and she wouldn't insist she was filthy, but if her human enjoyed a bath then she could too.
Hopefully she would be able to rest for a bit and not be disturbed, yet internally the queen doubted she would be so lucky.

Dioth had been napping while L'fy was off having some adventure or other in the lower caverns, enjoying the warm sunlight. He hadn't noticed another dragon approaching until she splashed down into the lake. He cracked an eye, did a double take, then quickly got to his feet, stifling a yawn. One should really stand at attention in the presence of a queen.

She truly was a beautiful gold, particularly in the sunlight and contrasting against the blues of the lake. Dioth realized he was staring and lowered his gaze respectfully. He ducked his head when she gave him leave to stay. Thank you, he said.
When she told him that he could sun himself, though, he felt himself at something of a loss. It felt improper to lay down in the presence of such an important dragon and sleep. But it also felt wrong to simply ignore her words, to stop sunning himself and hover which would no doubt make her uncomfortable.
The compromise, he decided, was to lay down as she'd suggested, but in a more alert manner and to face away from her, keeping an eye on the Weyrbowl for anyone who might try to disturb her bath. He'd act as an honor guard, while allowing her her privacy.
