[EVENT] Sled Course

A group of young riders and weyrfolk has set up a sledding course, on the best hill in the weyr, complete with ramps and jumps. It looks fun- but also scary. Please try not to get hurt or the weyr council will declare it off limits!

"Aw heck yeah."

Finally. Something Saori could really get into. He donned his heavy coat and gloves and scarf. It was daylight so of course, he was dragging a lot more than usual. And Orisk was back at the weyr slumbering under piles of blankets - some custom-made by himself. Whatever! The handler didn't have to run crew tonight and it wasn't like thread was gonna burn in the winter!

So ... fun! Fun things could happen!

Glancing down the hill made him briefly pine for his life in the hold. Sledding on the hillside was common during winters there. Back when he was younger, he would take his sister with him and they'd compete with the neighboring kids. Well that same hill was the one that swallowed up his home later ...

Saori swallowed the thought. Keen eyes looked for any pointy rocks sticking from the snow. Seeing none, he made a leap onto a yellow sled. "Last one down is a rotten wherry!"
