Mimikyuth had gotten lost.
Terribly, hopelessly lost.

The green had grown comfortable with being around her fellow weyrlings and had felt comfortable enough to be left alone without Ge'is by her side. Thus, after their lessons, she began to head over towards the lake, to have a drink of water.

Except, now.. she had no idea where Ge'is was! She looked around, hoping he had followed her, but she could not spot her rider everywhere. However, there was one thing she could do.

'Ge'is.. where are you..?'

Ge'is had headed to his barrack when he stopped as he heard the dragon's voice. He quickly communicated back to her. After their exchange, he began to head off towards the lake.

He didn't want her to be too frightened without him being by her side.

Finch remembered what it was like, being a weyrling. It was progress in fits and starts, uncertain whether you were advancing in your lessons or something wasn't going quite right, so she thought to postpone Aaneth's usual bath until lessons for Fort's latest weyrlings were concluded. I think that was your experience of weyrlinghood, Aaneth prodded from her ledge, her tail twitching as she reluctantly sunned herself. Finch rolled her eyes, but Aaneth leapt to her feet before she could respond, looking down toward Fort's lake. We're clear, she answered in place of further snark, glad that her day could proceed.

Finch wasted no time, setting her reading down and walking calmly to her dragon's shoulder. Well, let's get going. Mounting up in a practiced motion, they soared down to Fort's lake, where she immediately hopped down, undid her riding straps, and shooed her dragon to wallow. But it seemed one weyrling had lingered, a green who looked...lost, almost. Aaneth continued wading, seeming as though she'd rather not engage. Finch wasn't stupid enough to approach a dragon whose bonded wasn't present, as a quick glance confirmed. But rather than say nothing, she walked closer to where her own green swam and regarded Mimikyuth quietly. "Are you lost?" she asked; she'd save further words for her bonded, should one decide to appear.
