We've had more green clutches in the past few turns than High Reaches has. Something in the air, maybe? Or maybe we're just Faranth's favorite weyr.

"No- the mere concept of 'favoritism' to account for the sudden onset of Greens ovulating through firestone consumption is an utterly moot point." There was no room for debate with her tone. Straight faced, Miriel adjusted her glasses properly up her nose with one firm jerk of her fingers.

"Mere fanciful notion for lack of understanding. There must certainly be reason- a scientifically sound and explainable one," she justified. Of course, now Miriel's interest in the subject was piqued.

"There must be a correlated factor." The Garnetrider hummed as she flipped her hand notes to a clean page.

Do you think you can truly figure it out, Miriel? Phaedrath asked. The dragon wouldn't deny her own curiosity. Perhaps her Green sisters were making a way to 'catch up' to the Garnets for clutches. If it was a conscious effort, though it didn't seem it. Regardless, Phaedrath knew that if anyone could pinpoint the real reason, her bonded surely could.

"I am unsure, but there could be many viable factors," Miriel explained. "Perhaps the more temperate climate, or diet of the consumed food sources. Minerals in the water not present in the North....Hmmm."

So many, many possibilities.
