To be fair, Renkestuous had decided that climbing the cliffs in the nude wasn't smart. He had his underclothes on. There were parts of him that definitely needed protecting from the cliff, after all! But while Lumuth was napping - it wouldn't do to have her decide she needed to be his keeper, even for a few days until he was good for long enough that she forgot - Renkestuous decided it was time to see how far he could climb up the face of the cliffs. In (almost) the buff. Because if no one else was going to dare him to do things, then by the Shards, he'd dare himself!

Whistling to himself, Ren figured he'd made it a decent way up the side of the cliff without anybody noticing. There were plenty of available hand and footholds, after all, and why would anybody think to look for someone scaling the cliffs? And, sure, Renkestuous was anything but small, but all he'd really had to do was wear his clothes until he got to the base of the cliffs - acting completely nonchalant despite the vibrating excitement inside him - then strip down and start climbing.

He paused after a while, at least four or five times his height off the ground, to try to decide where his next handhold was. There had to be a good one up there somewhere ...

Faranth almighty... Wi'rad thought to himself, stretching his back by applying pressure with his hands. He sat crosslegged on the edge of the cliffs, watching outwards , bored eyes scanning the still green jungle. This shift cannot go by any quicker.

The greenrider was no foreigner to watch shifts - stand on the cliffs and alert of any trouble. Easy! Except absoluelty nothing interesting ever happened during his shifts. Spotties? No where to be seen. Pirates? Must be too busy cleaning their decks. Thread? Must've decided that Pern had seen the last of it for the Turn. At least he had Sinnath for company, rambling away.

And I saw 2 different types of wherries, one had a red crest , the other didn't. Both rude. Very rude! Oh. And I saw a cat steal a pie from the kitchens, I admire it's audacity ! It was a very very big tabby. Sinnath stood upright, wandering back and forth the cliffs. Saw a tunnelsnake too!! I wanted to sniff it but I think it was scared of me, maybe-

"Sinnath!" Wi'rad interrupted, pinching the bridge of his nose tiredly. "Please. Please do you mind ? For a few candlemarks at least."

The green quietly agreed, moving her attention to the cliffs themselves. Who said rocks weren't interesting? As she sniffed around, the green craned her neck downwards and spotted a... a person ? Naked?! Wi'rad look! Look ! There's a person with no clothes climbing up the cliff face! Look!

"I'm quite sure there is , Sinnath" The greenrider sighed, blocking Sinnath out of his mind for a few moments of silence. However, the green was entranced by this strange climber, she peered down at them, peeking her neck over the cliff as much as she could. There was nothing else to do besides.

Startled, Renkestuous looked up ... straight into the face of a green. She was not, of course, anywhere near as beautiful as Lumuth, but she was still a lovely dragon. And talking to him, while he was trying to find his next foothold.

"I - uh - hello, good lady," Ren greeted, pausing in his climb. "My name is Renkestuous. You don't mind if I keep coming up, do you?" Because if she was going to take exception to his climbing, then, well, he wasn't exactly going to be able to continue his trek.

But if she didn't care ... well, he thought he could probably make it to the top. Maybe. Well, it was worth a try at least!
