After the Night [Ezra] [Windra]

Gi was starting to really get to know the other handlers around Semaca after being there for over a month. She especially was familiar with the other members of the Weyr Guard, which was where she had sort of defaulted to upon her transfer. And a few nights after Goranask had gone out on a Run, she was starting to feel like they were a part of the new Weyr even though the lady-wher Goranask had been chasing had chosen another suitor.

That was neither here nor there though, and Giana strode side by side with her large wher as they headed back to their lodge after a night on watch. She saw a couple of other people also heading back to the lodges, one of whom she recognized. "Fenrir! Fesk! Lovely to catch you both before bed." She stifled a yawn; it was getting early. She just barely knew Fenrir and Fesk by name at this point, but she was proud of herself for knowing that. "And I'm sorry, I don't think we've met yet."

Fenrir had been returning from watch himself, though he was assigned a different post. Fesk was being difficult and moody this evening and it was wearing Fenrir's patience down thin again. He knew she was likely just being herself but it felt more like she was poking his buttons on purpose tonight as some form of amusement that he had hoped she had grown out of.. she had not.

" Ah, hello...Giana and Goranask right? Sorry, its late and my mind is not processing names as efficiently, I mean no offense." He replied and Fesk snorted and flopped down on her bottom, trying to show off her best angles to Goranask, for no real reason other than she could. She regarded the other handler and their wher that also seemed to be here, and was certain her best angles worked as she was positioned now. She wanted no part of group activities but a bit bored, she decided this was an amusing way to pass time, and besides, her handler could use a bit of socialization and despite being a stubborn brat half the time, she did want to do nice things for him, see how self sacrificing she is?

Fenris then turned to Traze and offered a greeting as well. " Hello.. Traze, if I am not mistaken?" While not really having direct interactions with Traze, Fenrir had seen his Garnet around before, she was pretty and hard to miss.

She really wanted to just disappear into her sleeping quarters before eyes could be turned her way. But alas, fate was not in her favor. A greeting came from her, then another. Traze snorted in annoyance. Daylight was already tickling fir under her eyes and she desired a good day's rest from last night's expedition into the wilds. Her glare at them was hard-lined, mouth set into a firm frown. It softened only when Razesk slunk alongside her, keeping her lovely garnet body low to the ground as if afraid something was going to cleave her spine from above.

"Traze." She jerked a thumb to the garnet. "Razesk. And seriously girl, nothing's coming to eat you. Can't you relax? You're so much bigger than everything else."

Sun rose. Bright red. Like blood. mewled the wher. Bad tidings! Maybe spotties attack soon. Certainly. Heralded by blood sun!

"Sleep," Traze told her. But the wher hid behind her, peeking out at the bronze and green in a distrustful manner. They weren't part of their squad. Traze pinched her nose. "By Faranth, my whole body hurts."

"That's right," Gi confirmed. And the garnetpair was Traze and Razesk. The garnet wher seemed to be pretty skittish, and the green was flirting. Goranask, who was significantly older than either of the young ladies, paced behind his handler for a moment before settling in to watch tiredly. "Is Razesk all right? She seems a bit ... anxious."

Maybe it was just that Goranask was pretty unflappable, but Fesk was pretty calm too for all that she was trying to show off how pretty she was for the older wher. And she was a pretty wher, for all that Goranask mostly chased golds and garnets. He was too big to have a good chance of catching a green.

Spotties not come, Goranask said soothingly. We safe.

"Does she often get nervy like this?" Giana asked, mildly concerned. The poor thing seemed quite afraid for no reason.

Fenrir raised a brow at Fesk, whom wiggled her bottom almost like she was a cat about to cause chaos. The wher herself made a loud snort and looked at Razesk. What was she even going on about?" You worry for nothing. If spotties attack, we handle fine. Calm self, it do you no good." Fesk replied and proceeded to lay down, already bored with this encounter. Neither wher seemed to appreciate her efforts and she had done her good deed for the day. All she wanted now was Fenrir to find her some shrimp, because she was hungry damn it!

" Apologies for Fesk, she can be a bit.. abrasive sometimes. Your bonded does seem a bit on edge, however. Is she alright? " He replied, scratching the back of his neck. He was not sure really what to do to help but if he could, he would.

Traze bristled at their concern. "She's fine," the woman bit, aware of her tone and not really doing much to stop it. These two didn't deserve her wrath, but she was too obscenely tired to care. "You'd be on edge too if you were gifted with clairvoyant divination."

But that last bit came out as a snort. She adored Azesk, but even the handler had to poke and prod at her bonded and her foolish fears. The garnet in question groaned against Traze's leg. Sun burns too bright. Can go now?

"In a minute, Aze." Traze nudged the garnet out from under her, almost shoving the large wher into the center of attention. Azesk hated it, but alas, eyes were upon her. "Why don't you say hello."

It was almost as though she cleared her throat, the loud cough exhumed from her throat was much like the noxious sound of phlegm being cleared. Which, when Azesk's eyes fell upon Fesk ... felt implied.

Snot color, blurted the wher. Boogers. Blood sun. Azesk is doomed. HAY FEVER comes.

Goranask ignored Fesk quite pointedly. She wasn't actively running, so her flirting was kind of pointless; besides that, Goranask didn't regularly chase greens.

The garnet, though ...

"Clairvoyant divination?" Giana asked. She was definitely not buying that was what was going on here. The wher was obviously paranoid at the very least, and paranoid was not a good trait for a wher.

No doom, Goranask said soothingly. Friends here.
