Gorou is a man of short stature and thin frame. He has honey brown hair that's cropped short. The locks of hair on either side of his angular face are a tad bit longer than the rest of his bangs. Most noteworthy in his appearance is the patch of white hair on his head. Vitiligo has resulted in the left half of Gorou's bangs white, as well as a few smaller locks of hair on his head. His eyes are blue-green and his eyelashes are long.
Goro is a man who prefers functional clothing over fancy. His wardrobe consists of things that are easy to move around in and durable, if a little beat up from use. He has a few braided rope bracelets that were presents from family, and he tries his best to keep them in good condition, since they mean a lot to him.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Gorou is the type of person that can get along with just about anyone. He's a kind soul, though initially he can come off as a bit awkward. He's not the most well versed in social queues, and can initially come off as stern or blunt. The latter comes from his habit of saying what's on his mind, regardless of other's feelings. While he can be both things, it isn't the core of his person. He takes a while to warm up to someone, but once he does, his puppy-like kindness comes to the forefront. Were he actually a dog, his tail would wag whenever he saw a friend of his. His body language is very easy to read, as he never made a habit out of hiding it.
His biggest flaw would have to be his habit of letting adrenaline go to his head. In high stress situations, Gorou can act rashly. He acts first and thinks about the consequences later, which can land him in trouble. Normally, he has a good head on his shoulders and can analyze what to do in a given situation. He's a courageous and patient man, and it takes a bit to make him lose his cool, but it's far from impossible.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Telgar Weyr
HISTORY:
Born to two riders, whom he never had the desire to seek out, Gorou had the typical upbringing of a weyrbrat in the creche. His older sister, Hina, was the only blood family he had spent plenty of time with, since she was only a few turns older and in the creche with him. And, to be honest, that was perfectly fine with him. She was a lovely sister, and the creche workers were kind. Once he turned 15, he took up candidacy with the hopes of impressing.
For turns he stood, but never one to be deterred, Gorou remained hopeful that he would impress. He had no reason not to, after all. He still had plenty of time left before he aged out. And, on the off chance he did, he could always figure something else out. Luckily, Torvarith came into his life before that could happen. Gorou was 19 at the time, and Torvarith was a lovely mottled blue with dark wingsails. He would learn quickly that this blue was a driven one, who always had bigger and bigger aspirations. Initially, it was pretty intimidating, but they learned to balance each other with a little time.
Gorou was 25 when he decided to transfer. With Torvarith's ambition, High Reaches seemed like the appropriate place to be. There, they both had a much better chance of rising in the ranks. Gorou had never wanted to stifle his dragon's desires completely. A little desire to move up in the world was never a bad thing! Torvarith was ecstatic, and Gorou was happy to give them both the opportunity.
In their brief time there, Gorou watched several clutches of eggs hatch. Aldoeith's gold daughter impressing to a man was a stunning turn of events, one Gorou never thought possible until that day. That, of course, was only one of several events to come. The ousting of a whole criminal network, one guilty of the theft of dragon eggs, was shocking to say the least. Part of him was glad that he hadn't chosen Semaca to transfer to, though he was sure the weyr was capable of handling the criminals.
