FULL APPEARANCE: Gellera looks very much a part of her family- a pale, slender woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her face is a bit more heart-shaped and her jaw more delicate than the rest of her family's, but it doesn't exactly come as a shock she's Tuckal and Tikra's sister. She's quite pretty, in a sweet sort of way, and wears her hair long, although that's typically her only concession to vanity. She favors pants and tunics over skirts, usually made of simple fabric chosen for utility rather than adornment.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Gellera isn't a woman who takes many shards. She knows her own mind and doesn't hesitate to speak it. She's a bit judgmental at times and can be hypocritical. She makes friends just fine but isn't one of those people who's looking to make nice to everyone. She doesn't need to be hanging around a bunch of people that piss her off just to win the approval of strangers. She's something of a free spirit, who enjoys travel and relaxing and having a good time.
Gellera is liberal, through and through. She rolls her eyes at hidebound idiots preaching their outdated ideas. Tuckal's trans? Great. She has another sister. Women are riding bronze now? Well it's about time. She isn't overly active in weyr politics but she supports Tuckal for the most part and is pro-Semaca, Telgar and High Reaches and anti-Benden and Ista as a matter of course.
Like both her sisters, Gellera has somewhat questionable taste in men and isn't above a regrettable hook-up in the baths. She still insists on judging Tuckal and Tikra for their choices and believes hers aren't QUITE as egregious.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Older sisters Tikra of Green Everieth and Tuckal of Gold Serapheth
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Fort Weyr
HISTORY: Gellera was born in Fort Weyr. Her childhood was nothing overly unusual. She lived in the Creche and had two siblings and parents who weren't around all that much. When Tuckal announced she was in fact female, Gellera supported her and helped fight anyone who disagreed. But at the end of the day, it wasn't her battle.
Both her older sisters entered candidacy before she did. Tikra Impressed quickly, Tuckal did not. When it was Gellera's turn, she decided to go to Ista. Not for any particular reason. She just wanted to see a bit of the world before she settled down in one place and Ista sounded cool. She hated it. She was sunburned ALL THE TIME and it was FAR too traditional and uptight. But the journey was well worth while because that was where she Impressed to blue Virtrath, a very strange but also quite sweet dragon.
As soon as they graduated, they moved on to Telgar, which Gellera found decidedly better. But she never put down roots. She spent some time in Igen, High Reaches and eventually Semaca, bouncing around from place to place and living and experiencing as much as she could. She heard secondhand about Tuckal's Impression, rise to weyrwoman and general attempts to get shards done. Which only reinforced her desire not to go home. She liked being her own person, not just the weyrwoman's baby sister.
And then Tuckal was kidnapped, after having already been attacked only two turns prior. And Tikra apparently had a weyrmate who was unbearable. Clearly- they needed a sensible head around. It was time. Gellera went home. Because her sisters couldn't be trusted on their own.
