Tamritan has the long-legged, unfinished look of a large guard canine: all legs, left feet and yet somehow can fold himself up into a small package. Fluffy light brown hair sticking out everywhere is his signature look, along with looking half starved and the slight tilt his head achieved while he was thinking seriously. Big hands matched the big feet, but somehow were far better coordinated, which meant that if carrying something while he tripped, it usually survived unscathed... unless Disaster had a hand, foot, wing in it...


PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Tamritan is conscientious, hardworking, clever and loves most types of weaving. There the artistic boy loses his modesty to create beautiful things. His favourite so far has been tapestry stitching, and he always has a few projects on the go. Tamritan is a kind boy, and loyal, aching for his foster sister's heartbreak, but wishing Wen had been more honest with her when she was obviously romanticising her relationship with him.

Tam was cute, he'd been told but self-honesty, and inborn modesty made him a realist, and low self esteem did the rest... Loyalty was a part of who Tamritan was, as was a certain empathy for the hurts of those he knew, and at the moment, there was conflict and unresolved issues between his two best friends. It made him feel helpless, and so uncomfortable with them because he didn't know what to SAY to them

Tamritan wasn't particularly judgmental, nor was he interested in the reasons behind the emotions Shazzri was expressing, but he was seriously not liking the feeling of distaste Wen's current attitude of arrogant superiority showed him. He thought he KNEW him, and was now aware that he didn't.

HISTORY:
Tamritan's father was a fisherman, his mother a weaver who paused in her craft while his father fished. Then, when Tam was still small, his mother fell down the steps in their home, and suddenly he was sent away.

Wensley became his foster mother, and Wenritan his foster brother. Soon, Shazzri joined them and they grew close. They all became weaver apprentices, and loved it, mostly. What they didn't love was the Journeyman for Dyes, and the emotional stress of growing up.

It was inevitable that Wen would do well at everything, and that he wouldn't. It was also unsurprising that he'd trip over his own feet, but painful that it happened most in the Dye workroom. The expectable result was expulsion... and suddenly, only a few months before I was old enough for Journeyman, I was an ex-apprentice.

Heartsore and annoyed, I decided to try for a dragon... and then Shazzri discovered Wenritan was engaged to be married and she wanted to go too. So... we did.

Dramatically more interesting ways to torture one's characters are always nice.

Do you have any preferences about the conditions of your character’s impression?: I'm ok with anything you want/need... up to and including not Impressing with injuries that damage his "pretty" image.

Are you alright with your character getting hurt? What injury level is acceptable/what should be avoided?: maul is ok, incapacitate is not

Is there anything you will ABSOLUTELY NOT accept?: gold, death, severe enough injury to incapacitate

-TPA already has a PC named Tam and the player would rather not share the name, so please choose a different name for Tamritan.

-The play-by section isn't for the player- it's for if you're using a celebrity or other character to show what your character looks like. You can just say N/A in your case.

-Tamritan's occupation should be listed as candidate and his location as Fort Weyr.

-"secret pretzel super powers"

What exactly does this mean?

-TPA requires a minimum of 200 words for personality. Tamritan could do with the fleshing out. What is he like, outside of his love for weaving and relationships with his foster siblings? Tamritan will also need a flaw, defined for TPA purposes as something that makes him less moral or less competent.

-"Tam was "sweet", but had no illusions that anyone would ever obsess over him"

Most people don't have anyone obsessing over them so him not expecting this doesn't need to be remarked on.

-Port of Fort isn't a place on TPA. Fort Hold has a lot of site history associated with it which doesn't really fit here, so please pick either one of the other holds like Southern Boll (which is the closest hold to Waver Hall) or have him come from a minor hold beholden to Fort (which you don't have to specifically name. You can just say "Minor hold beholden to Fort").

-TPA does not allow romances between foster siblings. Apprentices also do not require fostering, as their needs would be provided by the hall and their masters.

-Crafting on Pern is fairly specialized knowledge and most crafters wouldn't give up their own hard won careers for the sake of their less specialized spouse. Why did Tamritan's parents choose to prioritize his father's fishing over his mother's more prestigious weaving?

-Did Tamritan's mother die from the fall? If not, why did it require giving up her child?

-Why was Wensley chosen as his foster father? Were there any connections between the families? Did Tamritan stay in the same hold or did he move?

-Why did the foster siblings dislike the dye journeyman? Note that Weaver Hall would have many journeymen and several masters in any given specialty so even if they didn't get along with one, they'd have been able to study under another.

If you intend on Wen possibly becoming a PC, please tone this down or make it clearer that it was only Tamritan's perception. TPA will not allow an apprentice who excelled at everything.

-An apprentice wouldn't be expelled from the class for tripping. There also is no set age on TPA for walking the tables and many apprentices do not become journeymen right at 18. It's a floor, not a ceiling.

-Please keep the entire profile in third person not first.

-If Wen was their foster brother they were quite close too, how did they not know about his engagement?

-Pernese teenagers can't simply decide to become candidates. They have to first be Searched.

-Note that your personality requests are very specific. I suggest making them a bit more flexible or staff will have a hard time matching him and he may be standing for a while. We don't custom write dragons for specific candidates on TPA. Clutches are prewritten and many will not have a smart/supportive/bossy dragon.
