FULL APPEARANCE: Settling into adulthood, this young woman has always kept her hair cropped short in the traditional dragon rider style assured that one day she would achieve her dream. Her light, freckled skin is frequently tinged red from sun burns as she regularly wears the bare-minimum expectations for clothing, very light tops without sleeves and shorts that hug her frame. She holds herself tall, constantly trying to make it seem as if she is looking down her nose at people, even those taller than her.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Bay was always a willful child. While she has always respected and observed weyr traditions, she has made it no secret that she holds no love for them, seeing them as nothing more than chains of a bygone era. This indifference extends to her peers, believing herself more intelligent than most which leads to her frequently dismissing the ideas of others.
She has spent her entire life striving to Impress and as such has carefully cultivated a discipled and chivalrous persona. While it may seem on the outside that she is a stickler for rules, those that truly know her, know that only she determines which rules are worth enforcing...if she would let anyone in. While she is friendly and open to newcomers, it remains superficial. Even with long-time acquaintances and friends, she refuses to let anyone see what she deems her true self.
This has led to a lonely life, though she would never admit it to herself or anyone else, it's a physical ache she can feel at the back of her chest. Shes determined to Impress a dragon and prove everything was worth it. She is constantly chasing the thrill of an adrenaline rush to fill that void and has been known to do dangerous activities, though many suspect she's just trying to 'be cool' for her peers.

HISTORY: An unremarkable childhood in the weyr creche, what's there to say. Her unremarkable mother, a failed candidate who stayed on, worked in the kitchens. Not that her mother was bad or mean to her in any way. In fact, she was quite the opposite. A kind soft-spoken mother who cared deeply for her child. Bay just thought of her mother as... boring. Her mom never spoke about where she was from before she was searched or even about who Bay's father was. Bay figured her father must have been a rider, but it's not like anyone in the weyr cared that she has been born outside of a union! That was for Holders and tradesfolk.
Of course she got the same basic education that every other Wyerbrat got in reading, writing, and basic dragon knowledge, and then she would help her mother by chopping ingredients or brewing fresh klah. That was until she was old enough to stand on the sands. Even though she had always known that she was meant to be a dragonrider, when the moment finally came, she was left standing. Over, and over she was left standing, each newly Impressed pair mocking her with their happiness. Now, she was likely facing her last chances to Impress and she couldn't fail this time. She wouldn't let herself be as unremarkable as her mother.

What color/s does your character want?: At this point, she wants any color except gold
Does your character have any personality preferences or concerns?: she really would not like a goofy personality
Does your character have any other preferences or concerns?: she would ideally love to become a Bronze Lady Rider. The idea of the gender-biased impressions was always one of the traditions she felt had no use.

Do you want your character to be eligible for gold?: I think that would be hilarious. she wants a fighting dragon

Why do you think these choice/s would be a good fit?: I say go nuts, have fun with her. She needs the chance to be humbled a bit and while learning how to play nice with others.

Do you have any preferences about the conditions of your character’s impression?: She could fail a time or two more to increase desperation if desired for plot. Otherwise, no real preference
Are you alright with your character getting hurt? What injury level is acceptable/what should be avoided?: Go for it, I'm not entirely attached to her and she might do something stupid that could end up being a mistake in her desperation for a dragon.

-What traditions specifically does she see as chains of a bygone era? In TPA's time, a lot has already changed.

-You need to disclose who her father is, even if she doesn't know it. TPA policy is that both parents need to be specified at least in generalities. You don't need a name but something like "He was a brownrider from Ista who transferred away before she was born."

-Candidacy ages on TPA are 15-30. She is not near the end of her time standing and will likely still have several clutches she can try for.

-Brayvrel reads a little younger to me so you may want to consider knocking her down to a teenager- but up to you!
