Rose tries her hardest to style her short hair into cutesy braids or fancy updo's. Unfortuately thanks to Semancan humidity her blone hair turns frizzy. She has brown doe like eyes , which she likes to accent with make up of different colours, mostly blacks. Fashion wise , Rose wears what's trending, liking to keep up with the trends in the Weyrs and Holds. Though if she can't get to the trend she'll stick to dresses, short tops and lose trousers, anything comfortable enough to go adventuring in.

Rose is at a heart a compassionate person. She empathises with those who were brought up like herself or have been in dire situations, trying to be kind without patronizing. If there is something she can do to make someone's day she will go out of her way to do so. Rose is prone to putting friends over family in these situations, or strangers over those she has known and loved because of her empathy towards them.
If something promises adventure, Rose will make spontaneous decisions in the moment, following excitement over mundanity. Danger and risk doesn't scare her off, she's ever so willing to start running at any given time. Most of the time Rose will say her first thought , or commit to her first action without giving it much thought. She's rather jealous with those she loves, when they start showing favoritism for others , or start directing affections to other people instead of her. Which leads her to turn possesive and rude with others.

Rose was born to two people who were very much in love, they had everything perfectly set out for a life together, when disastere struck and Rose's father died in an accidental fire in a Smith's workshop at age 1. This did not discourage Jackie (her mother) from attempting to continue this life her and her lover had built together. Rasing Rose as a single mother was no easy task, Rose being an overly energetic child , running off at any given moment.
At age 14, Rose picked up a job as an errand runner for the local tailor, being back and forth the Hold all day. Fabrics here, clothes there, send the message over there, tell so and so to do this. Rose loved her job initially, it reaped marks for her and her mother, but as the years passed she began to grow bored of being the errand girl. At 16 she met a rider on a search after his blue sniffed her and followed her a while. He offered her a place at the Weyr, to stand as a candidate and potentially impress. Except at that moment, it wasn't something she could afford to leave and go. Abandon her mother so soon? Unspeakable. She kindly declined the young rider's offer, leaving and carrying on her duties. That same evening, the rider approached her again, instead of proposing becoming a candidate, he offered to take Rose on his dragon for a short flight. That little night escapade between to far away lands then back soon became her favorite memory. The searchrider promised to be back before a turn passed, waving his farewell to the young girl.
For the next 2 years, when the searchrider showed up each time to Ruatha, he would take Rose to see other lands around Pern, Holds from above, even the Weyr from afar. One time he even gave her a firelizard egg as a gift, which hatched into gold Kera, the two wrote letters to eachother by mean of firelizard. One told of the day to day life in a weyr, the other in a hold. Between a dull job and an even more dull life, those little escapes and the rider became Rose's main inspiration for wishing to become a candidate. Having made up her mind, Rose awaited for the next time the searchriders arrived.
Except her friend didn't show up, and those riders hadn't a clue over his whereabouts. Even without the rider there, Rose had made up her mind about her future and asked one of the searchriders if they'd take her to Semaca where she'd heard they needed candidates the most. The searchrider agreed, taking Rose and her belongings to Semaca after a tearful goodbye from her mother.
