Ki'ma has gorgeous mid waist length auburn hair, thick and fluffy. It's quite eyecatching. She takes much pride and effort in maintaining it health and shiny, scouring out the best oils for it. Her style leans femenine and practical, she adores wearing dresses , especially ones that flatter her shape. However , trousers will never be her first choice of wear , but she'll wear them when duty calls. Albeit with muttered complaints. She'll always try to liven up her flight uniform, having it dyed in much more pleasant pastel like colours. She's even got a dress that matches Opirath's markings!
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Ki'ma is a highly independent woman, she likes to stand on her own two feet and dares anyone to knock her down. Growing up underneath a mantle of heavy control and tradition has made her fiercely protective of her freedom and has no patience for authority that hasn't earned its place or her respect. Ki'ma carries herself with a kind smile, she's got a sharp tongue when provoked - especially by freeloaders, bossy riders or anyone who pulls rank to make her feel smaller than who she is.
She's very much the classic "mom" friend, always remember's turndays, brings snacks to hungry weyrlings or riders with long shifts on watch duty. She's got tough love, blunt advice and a willingness to be the backbone of any group she finds herself in. Ki'ma loves to meddle, always uninvited. If there's some drama, you bet she knows about it. She loves to know what's going on - who's sneaking around who's weyr, who's getting out of drills. While she jokes and flirts shamlessly with anyone who catches her eye, Ki'ma is protective of her heart. She's got a son , a sister and a job to do, whoever she lets into her life must prove themselves worthy of her love.

HISTORY:
Ki’ma was born to an incredibly poor family. Food on the table was always scarce as her parents had a large family to provide to. Albeit it all, Ki’ma grew up happy being the middle child to an older and younger sister. The three sister grew with the jagged peaks of Telgar Weyr on their horizon, dreams of becoming dragon riders fueling their games. Daring to dream they could become Weyrwoman one day. When their parents caught wind of their ushered hopes, they rushed to nip them at the bud, unwelcoming of daughters with such aspirations. In their eyes, their daughters should aspire to be housewifes, not weyrwoman.
When Ki’ma was 6, her oldest sister , Amika , was married off to a richer man in the cothold, her parents expecting for her to have a better future than the one they could provide for. Little did Ki'ma and Ammala know it was a ploy to keep their sister tamed and under control, thier parent's would not stand for a rebelious daughter. While Amika dreamed of being much more, she was stuck in an arranged marrige to Rendek, a beastcrafter, that didn't even let her wife see her family in order to make sure she was docile.
Afraid to have the same fate as her sister, Ki'ma and Ammala grew closer together, pacting to protect each other no matter what. The two sisters watched dragonriders on search pass by their cothold, attempting to talk to the dragons with no avail. They befriended the guard's whers, bringing them gifts in form of food they snuck from home. It was a taste of freedom for the two girls. As the turns passed, Ki'ma saw the fire in Amika's eyes quell, the older sister busy with raising a daughter and keeping a husband happy. Rage grew in Ki'ma's bones, knowing his brother-in-law would pay for what he'd done to his sister.
On her 18th turn, Ki'ma was introduced on her husband to be , the local tavern owner, Cipri . While he was a kind and gentle man, Ki'ma considered him to be a coward and someone she was unable to love. Her parents insisted she moved in with him into his home and tavern, to get accustomed to life by his side and as the co owner of the tavern. Life did not quite suit her in the tavern, by day she'd enjoy herself serving drinks and meals , gathering the latest gossip from passer bys and locals. By night, she'd tend to her to-be-spouse, sewing his shirts and cleaning the house. Though, Cipri had an adopted son, Varek, a boy who was fully convinced his parent's were dragonriders and left him behind in order to focus on protecting the planet. Ki'ma took up a motherly role with him, ensuring the boy got all he needed and was content. The two grew incredibly close, so much so Varek began to prefer Ki'ma over Cipri.
On her 20th turn, Ki'ma held the pressure of the future wedding looming over her head. She wished not to turn into her older sister, bound by the fences of her home, kept down by the burden of two children and a strict husband. Ki'ma adored her niece and nephew, but secretly wished Amika was free of them. Desperation grew in Ki'ma's mind, and hatched a plan with Ammala. The two would leave under the cover of night quietly and head for the Weyr, intending to show the riders they could work in whatever they needed and become weyr folk. However, salvation came to them both in the form of what they loved most, a dragon. Varek begged Ki'ma to let him see the dragonriders in search, hoping his mother or father had come back for him. While the boy was in awe of it all, Ki'ma asked humbly if the Weyr would welcome in two pair of working hands and her son. A brownrider, with far too much ego, was not fond of returning to the Weyr with empty hands and so agreed to take the three of them.
The same day, the two sisters and Varek left their cothold. There was nothing they could do for Amika, except hope that one day she may leave. In Telgar Weyr , Ki'ma and Ammala began working in the Kitchens, incredibly content with their new found independency. Varek made friendships and took it upon himself to find his parents. Once settled into the weyr and having made a new life for themselves, Ki'ma decided it was time to make her dream come true and head into candidacy.
It didn't take long for her to be involved in romantic encounters with others around the Weyr, she couldn't help herself! Finally freed of her tiny cothold, Ki'ma got a real taste of how handsome people could be. She dated many riders, handlers and weyrfolk on and off, never really indulging in anything serious promising herself she would when she impressed. For 3 turns, Ki'ma was left standing, watching friends impress and become weyrlings. Until on 2772, during one of many gold clutches, a little beautiful blue hatched and inspected every single candidate until his eyes fixated on Ki'ma's and a settled himself at her feet. His mind melded with her in rainbows. When an incredibly refined voice, instructed her.
Ki'ma my dear, I do believe we have dealings of greater importance to be getting on with. Do stand up straight, your pose is rather unwomanly for a rider of your status
Opirath. In all his excellency impressed to Ki'ma and began his lifelong passion of intruding on everyone's buisiness. Weyrlinghood went quite smoothly, Ki'ma was fond of her class and had made a best friend of a younger rider. Once graduated , Opi and was introduced to Varek and Ammala. The boy was in awe that his adoptive mother had managed to become a rider, quickly fixating on the same thing, while Ammala's desires to one day become weyrwoman grew.
A few turns later, her entire class got the idea to move to Semaca. Once ideas of spotty attacks , pirates and banished riders got to Opirath , the blue had only one idea in his mind. Move to Semaca. While Ki'ma did not wish at first to move , the blue (along with Varek) managed to bring her round to find home in a new , growing Weyr. Ammala decided that she too would move along side the rider pair and son. The bluerider could not quite stop her blue from muttering her ear off everything he learnt and overheard about Semaca, though she couldn't blame him, everything from the Summerlands sounded dramatic and exciting.
