FULL APPEARANCE: S'pain is an imposing figure. Tall and very muscular, he has a presence about him, even if he refuses to speak. He sports full lips, a square jaw, high cheekbones and thick, masculine eyebrows with deep skin pocked by fights and training. He keeps his hair extremely short because if it's allowed to grow, it becomes too burdensome for S'pain to deal with.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: If there's one thing that defines S'pain, it's the feeling that he doesn't quite belong. He's a strong and quiet type, much preferring action over flowery words. To him, words meant nothing and he watches actions like a hawk. He hates lies, deception and two-faced behavior like nothing else and it angers him deeply to see it happen to himself or his friends.
S'pain has the tendency to throw himself into his work or training to cope with emotions, feeling that this would be the healthiest way to deal with his internal issues. He isn't used to having anyone to speak to about whatever he might be feeling and tends to bottle things up if he can't find a physical outlet for them. This often leads to resentment and that unhealthy maelstrom of emotions can explode over something extremely minor, like an accidental slight or even a minor inconvenience. After these explosions, S'pain wallows in shame and it takes a few days for him to swallow that shame and apologize.
Despite his shortcomings, if befriended, S'pain is with you until the end. Good, deep friendships are what he's looking for and if he finds them, he won't let go. When you're in, you're in for life. He'll be your bodyguard, your wingmate, your shelter without question.

HISTORY: He was born and bred in the weyr but had difficulty finding his place in the world. Perhaps it was the distance between himself and his parents that lead to the feeling of being alone and the deep discomfort that sat in his chest. He just didn't feel quite right in the weyr, even among his weyrbrat peers. Still, he found purchase in exercise and training and always adored the dragons, knowing he would one day fly the skies as well. It was in his blood.
Once he was ready to Stand, he was so confident he'd find his match... but it took many, many painful turns. This reinforced his belief that he was simply a man without a place to belong and fell into a deep depression. He did not speak to many people about this though he did bond with a few candidates who were left standing for turns like himself. At least they understood... until they Impressed and left him behind.
Thirteen turns later, his Dysarth hatched and his world changed completely. Dysarth filled the void that was so painful in S'pain's soul and that depressed softened greatly. The pair bonded quickly and deeply, excelling in their weyrling classes. S'pain didn't have the words to explain the pure joy he felt, sailing the skies with the one person who completed him.
Dysarth was keen to travel and S'pain too wanted a change of scenery, so when the opportunity arose to transfer to Semaca Weyr, the pair took the chance. Dysarth was four turns old then and the new environment seemed to invigorate both dragon and rider.

FULL APPEARANCE: What Dysarth might lack in patterning or markings, he more than makes up for in personality. His body is a warm, sandy brown with the underside of his wings being a warm lilac color. The topside of his wings are a darker, richer brown.
He sports huge wings and a very long, lanky body. He's as short as a brown can be with absolutely massive wings. He's like a canine puppy that will never grow into his wingspan. He loves it, though, saying he can soak up more sun than any other brown ever!
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Unequivocally, Dysarth is the most charming thing in all of Pern. Ever. There never was and never will be anything more charming than him (he says). He is so charming, you see, that he can win the heart of any female-identifying sentient being he sets his mind to. Especially the ones whose hearts have supposedly been given to someone quite a bit less worthy than him! Dysarth has to prove that he's clearly the best option in the history of options, such that the female-identifying sentient being will realize their mistake and fall in love with him instead.
He also loves to showboat, showing off how strong he is (he's not the strongest but definitely makes up for it with showmanship!) by lifting rocks or pushing huge carts or even attempting to carry carts full of mining rubble! Those ladies deserve to be impressed and just look at how strong and handsome Dysarth is! Aren't you impressed? He knows you're calling off that wedding right this moment to run off with him...
