The weyrleaders have posted a schedule for extra watch duty, for both whers and dragons. Ugh- I've got midnight on my birthday. Anyone want to trade?

"On yer birthday?" Jackrum asked. He gave a snort, shaking his head. "Yeah, that's just the sorta thing I'd expect from the Weyr's leadership. Faranth forbid we try to have a personal life or try to take a break on our name day." He spat to further emphasize this point.

"Tell ya what, I'll take the shift off your hands if you like. Krusk'll be thrilled to have an excuse to lay around all night, the lazy arse. Gotta be willing to do something similar some day, yeah? Not for me, 'course, you know me, ain't got time to be sitting around idly on my hands, but somebody else might get the short end of the stick from our fearless leaders. Heh, who'm I kiddin', someone WILL get the short end of the scheduling stick, knowing how incompetent the big dogs always are. Same story no matter where ya go." He scratched his head. "So, I take the shift, you owe me, yeah? You'll cover for someone else if I ask? We got a deal?"
